A list of puns related to "South Bronx"
For our final ride of 2021, the UWS Bike Club will attempt to traverse 4 of NYC's 5 boroughs (we won't forget you, Staten Island!), crossing 5 bridges in the process, and pass through the idyllic Randall's Island. I promise it will be a great workout with some great views!

This coming Sunday (12th Dec) we will start on the Upper West Side, taking the Hudson River Greenway down to Greenwich Village. Then we will cut across Manhattan, crossing over into Williamsburg, before heading north to Astoria. After lunch (Greek food at Zorba's), the plan is to continue to Randall's Island where we will have lovely views of the city. Then we will proceed across into the Bronx, cross back over into Harlem with a strong finish in Central Park.

The full ride is approximately 24 miles, is Citibike friendly, and there will be easy access to subway stations throughout, in case you only wish to drop off partway. Note that whilst the majority of the route takes place on bike paths, crossing Manhattan will involve riding side-by-side with heavy vehicle traffic.
Weather-wise, it is unlikely to rain, but temperatures will be 48F max, so please wrap up warm!
The plan is to meet at the Citibike stand, at the intersection of West 72nd Street and Riverside Drive (40.780631, -73.985578) at 10:45, to start riding at 11:00.
If you wish to join partway in Williamsburg, meet at the Citibike stand at the Continental Army Plaza (40.710439, -73.960792) at 11:45, we will leave at 12:00 sharp, to continue the route.
Any questions, please reach out - hope you can join!
I know this has been discussed before but all the threads I've found are over a few years old...
I've been commuting from my parents basement out of state -> Hunts Point by car for a few months now. Realllly want to move out down to the city and live in an fun/exciting/safe-ish kind of place. Where should I be looking in your opinion??
I'm 26 years old and male, open to living anywhere and with all types of people, would probably need to be commuting by car since Hunts Point, and my budget is max $1500 (+/-) $100 for parking and tolls.
I almost subleased a place in Astoria recently. I really like the feeling of that area(also was really into bedstuy but kind of a hike). Bit of a pain with the tolls though.
Anywhere else I should be looking?
I be in the south bronx cuz my baby mother from there and her family live out there, specifically around e 161st st/McKinley houses, Iβm tryna figure out what gangs be in that area and where around me they be posted at. I be seeing people writing ygk in her project building an I just feel like the more knowledge I have about whatβs goin on out there the better.
