Proxy rewilding of North America

I am generally in favor of a Holocene baseline and skeptical of proxy rewilding, but I thought it would be interesting to rank the proxy rewilding proposals I've seen proposed here on a scale of what makes most to least sense

  1. Donkeys for stilt legged "horses", already established population , seems to have a largely positive impact on the surrounding ecosystem through well digging , That being said they may threaten desert tortoises, which are crucial keystone species in their own right and Critically Endangered, Should probably be kept around at at least some sites but closely monitored and controlled with PZP at whatever level is suitable for the local ecosystem and tortoise population,(10/10)

  2. Dromedaries for Camelops, similar size, Camelops was mainly found in the south west, so likely had a very similar niche, slow reproductive rate makes pop. control easier, large size and kicking abilities makes them difficult prey, any project with them would probably need to apply PZP treatment to control them, My main concern is how fragile the southwest is, especially with recent droughts, and how slowly much desert plant life grows (like Joshua tree and Saguaro cacti) , If cattle and sheep were removed from the range and the water tables recovered ( likely with way more beavers) I would be enthusiastic about a trial run, ( and can someone test if these guys can spread Joshua tree fruit!) (9/10)

3)greater capybara for misc. capybara, a few species of capybara seem to have been found in Late Pleistocene North America, with the largest being twice as large as the modern greater capybara, the number of species makes me more optimistic that modern capybaras niche overlaps with at least one, though information is hard to find, my worry here is that they reproduce faster than camels, so they would be harder to control, and Florida already has such a large invasive species problem, Also could provide food to reticulated pythons, Very interested in the one herd that had established in Florida and what impact they might have in the future.(9/10)

4)Galapagos/Aladabra tortoise for Western Tortoise, larger litters than capybara and Florida already has plenty of invasive species, Western tortoise Survived well into the Holocene which makes me much more in favor , Unclear to me how they are related to/ would have interacted with modern American tortoises, did western tortoises burrow?, Don't want Galapagos/Aladabra to outcompete gopher tortoises, Unclear if popula

Small and Easy Changes for 1.7

Hello PZ Reddit. Please, please read the intro entirely. Some of you may know me well enough, I'm decently active here and on the forums. Since update 1.3, I've been making a list of suggestions for things for the dev team to implement into PZ, which I update after every major update goes live. This current list is for things to be added in 1.7. I've been fortunate enough to have several things from my list implemented into the game thus far, some things I'm particularly happy about are getting the staff heat map and trading center search bar implemented, things that have been in my list since the first one back in August.

The reason for this post is I am humbly asking you all to come over to the forums and help provide some input to the list. The more traction it gets, the better chance more things get added in. You can find the list here. If you don't have a Frontier forum account, it takes literally 5 minutes or less. I would like for the community to start taking a larger role in my lists, which is why I'm posting this here. Please consider helping out!

I will post the list here so you can take a look at it, but I won't accept any ideas given to me here. My entire goal is to get people more engaged on the forums. Please help out for the betterment of the game's future, thank you! Edit: Also, if you read that portion in bold, thank you, because a lot of people are just skipping over it

"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome! Welcome to the fourth iteration of my (hopefully) long anticipated small changes list, where I lay out various fixes and improvements the dev team can implement into the game. The theme is low effort, high impact suggestions, so put those suggestions of redoing the path system or adding in dolphins to away! I have seriously upped my game with this iteration of the list. You'll notice quite a bit of community ideas have been incorporated here, and I'm going to do my best to give credit to those ideas where it's due. As I said, I put a lot of leg work into this iteration, as it seems some ideas won't be accepted without us providing proof as to why they should be, so I've gone ahead and done some research for the PZ team already. They can use my stuff as a jumping off point.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
