A list of puns related to "Sleepwear"
I am 5'3", around 250lbs. My mental health is worse than my physical health. I have a big belly and big sagging tits with a lot of bottom fullness to my bust. I usually wear a 1x in skirts and a 2x in pants and as small as a medium in very stretchy, high-coverage tops when I want to not wear a bra, or a 36G if I want a proper lifting fit. When I'm not supported in the bust, anything that touches my nipple feels like I'm being assaulted. Assume this is due to trauma, although I really couldn't tell you how. Unfortunately it's not as simple as wearing something stretchy and tight to bed, because if the straps or band on a bralette or tank top or whatever is too tight then I wake up in pain from that, but I'm sure that's a familiar problem for everyone.
I'm looking for something lightweight like silk so that I don't have nightmares from overheating (this is a real thing), maybe some sleep shorts that are not skimpy in the front, and something to go with them that has bust support but doesn't cut into my arms or shoulders. I'd like to treat myself to something nice after all of these infuriating nights and mornings feeling like shit because I hate how my body is sitting on my skeleton all night and in the morning. I doubt a silk sleep top would support me but if there's some company that has silk + lace/elastic mix&match that would be perfect, or if there's a company that does silky styles but in obscure materials with stretch. It's the future now, that sounds like it be a thing?
So ideally, a luxury loungewear company that carries plus sizes and sells separates. I don't like to buy fast fashion if I can avoid it and I'm trying to make this into a positive shopping experience to get out of this fucking funk. I have spent so much of the last 24 hours crying, please be gentle with me if you think this question is dumb. I'm really fragile right now and I have a pathological drive to always ask reddit for advice because I don't understand the world well enough to find the answer on my own. If this doesn't exist and you feel like giving me support in some way, a smile or a pic of a goat would go a long way. Just please for the love of god don't be mean to me right now.
[edit] thanks for all the comments and advice guys. I just want to reiterate I am looking for silk sleep shorts that are not fast fashion. I don't buy clothes from places like Torrid. I'm looking for like a small luxury company with sophisticated cut and colors, so please let me know if you kn
... keep reading on reddit β‘So, I was just looking at cute 'handmade' lingerie on Etsy when I noticed multiple listings had the same pics. Then I started reverse searching the images and found almost everything on Etsy that was tagged handmade for $50-100 as available on aliexpress for $10 or less. Then, I started looking around at other websites like venus.com that came across as kind of legit, but it was the exact same thing!!
Do you guys know of any good online lingerie companies (besides AdoreMe, third love, or savagex) that is legitimate and not just reselling from a cheap distributor? I would love to find a nice company or two that sells lingerie (in the $50-100 price range, not like la perla lol) that isn't just a rip off! Or, if you know of any legitimate small business lingerie makers that would be awesome! I'd be happy to pay for a nice product handmade by a small business. Do you have any recommendations?
We live in the northeast (US) and have hit that time of year where itβs 70βs during the day and 40βs at night. Itβs βhotβ when we go to bed, but by 2am itβs cooled off quite a lot.
Our toddler, who definitely prefers sleeping in the cold, is really struggling with this change in weather. Last night for example it was 75 in his room at bedtimeβwe had the windows cracked and fan on low. We put him in cotton long sleeved, footless pajamas and the woolino sleep sack. It took him forever to fall asleep because he was so warm, but then woke up early morning (3am) shivering. The only thing we can think of is switching out his sleep sack, light for heavy, after midnight but that disrupts everyoneβs sleep... Same for closing the window, temperature was still above 70 at midnight. (For reference we keep it around 65 all winter.)
Heβs still in a sleep sack because he moves around so much while heβs sleeping. Weβve tried blankets but he doesnβt keep them on. We struggled with this last fall/spring but it was easier because he was still nursing and not sleeping through the night yet, so I just changed him during that early morning feed.

We've been more at home for over a year now. Even as it warms up, there will be much time spent indoors trying to melt away the struggles.
When discussing this kind of garment, the most important thing is probably comfort. Most people won't be wearing pajamas to the grocery store or work, and so they might not be expected to regulate temperature when outside and away from air conditioners or heating.

###Guidelines for posting here:
Top level comments will be price bins. Please post recommendations in response to a price bin, as a second level comment. You can also use top level comments for general info, inspo albums, and general questions.
Recommendations can be a brand ("I like Kiton suits!") or a strategy ("I go thrifting for suits!").
Try to stick to one brand/strategy per second-level comment. If you want to recommend both Alden and Carmina, post them separately so people can vote and discuss separately.
Include a link in your second-level comment if you can -- if not to a purchase page, at least to images. A wayback-machine link is also fantastic if you want the link to remain active!
Try to use prices you might realistically pay. That might be MSRP, or it might not -- it depends. If the item is from JCrew or similarly run brands, the fact that they will constantly be on 50%+ sale should factor in. However, if the item can only be found on sale during yearly clearances (
I have always been a flannel pants and a tank kind of girl but I've always wanted to be the kind of person who could remove my eye mask, roll out of bed, throw on a long silk robe over my gauzy nightgown, slip on a pair of delicate slippers and find my boxer-clad husband in the kitchen making pancakes and eggs while the snow falls heavy and silent outside.
What's the non-romance novel equivalent? Is it just those silky cami/short sets? Maybe I've just never had a good quality one but I find they twist all over on me while I sleep. Is it a fit issue?
What do you wear if you have a date spending the night, or what would you pack for a cozy cabin retreat with your partner? How can I look cozy and put together and not like a 12 year old, but also not scandalize my neighbors if I had to just grab a robe while fleeing out the door because the whole block is on fire or something?
Everyone's cute family PJ pics from Christmas have me wondering.
