A list of puns related to "Sealing Wax"
I plan to wax my cheeses for aging.
I currently make 75g cheeses and have paraffin wax to coat them in.
I plan to mature them in the fridge at 10C for a few days then wax them
How much oil should I add to how much wax to make a peel-able skin?
How thick should the wax layer be?
Can I wrap a strand of floss over the cheese disc then wax it to facilitate removal?
When I swapped out the old wax from my scentsy this morning, I had a thought. Sealing wax is small, and even though it's not very expensive, I would rather not pay for it if I already have wax in my house I'm throwing away regularly.
So far, the consistency of the wax is not quite right for sealing wax, but it works well enough to be worth keeping. I have a ton of it in my house, too.
Does anyone else have anything they keep or repurpose from their daily life for larp? I hate letting things go to waste, and anything that I can funnel back into larping is a win!
Hey everyone! Iβm trying to cut out as much plastic as I can from my packaging and was curious if there was a biodegradable or eco friendly option available for sealing waxes? Iβve been looking but came out empty handed. Thanks in advance!
I made some homemade scar wax using flour and Vaseline.. it came out really well, itβs so easy to blend and mould. I tried to make a fake nose with it, put some spirit gum on first and added the wax onto that, blended etc, got my perfect shape down. I then sealed it with some liquid latex but it didnβt go down very wellβ¦ the latex started peeling off and it got into a right mess I ended up having to scrape it all off and start again. I donβt have anything else to seal the wax with. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Thank you! X x
So my costume is a realistic Yukon Cornelius from the old Rudolph claymation. I have followed some advice online for creating fake frozen snow/frost/ice on a costume. It involved white sand, wax, glitter, crushed up clear beads, and LOTS of glue. The jacket looked great and was working fine the first go around with glue, but the thing is that I have to wear this in somebody's home for a party. I do NOT want a particle of anything to come off in their house. So, this thing is doused in probably like a GALLON of gorilla glue, liquid cement, modge podge, etc... I am kind of figuring it out as I go, but ofc this was less than ideal because 1) how stupid expensive this glue is 2) what a fire hazard of chemicals it is now lol and 3) there has to be another option? At this point, it is pretty dang stiff and in place, but I think there are still some things flaking off once in a while. Isn't there like a resin I can pour on it or something? Just a clear coat of liquid to totally seal everything in. Any stiffness is great because it just makes it look more and more frozen.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I received this many moons ago as part of a reddit gifts pen exchange. I've found myself using fountain pens and sending paper mail less and less over time, and I never got around to really using this kit
Just wanted to give it out to someone who might enjoy it.
Unfortunately, it probably isn't worth too much, and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg shipping it outside of the continental USA.

Hello everyone! I am currently trying to learn how to make my own sealing wax. Iβve seen multiple videos on people making it using hot glue and beeswax (sometimes other ingredients) but nobody ever seems to post the ratio they use of glue to wax. Does anyone here make their own wax and is willing to share the correct ratio or if there are any ingredients Iβm missing (besides pigment)?
So I am looking for a tumbleweed sealing wax stamp, but I can't find any stamps with a tumbleweed on them anywhere - where do you go for yours?
cheers & thanks!
