A list of puns related to "Pro Evolution Soccer 2010"
Hello everyone, ex-FIFA player here. I have played plenty of pro in the past, but I was always maining FIFA, this time, I'm seriously thinking about "changing sides" because in FIFA they nerf defense and make offense op making it a NOT-football simulator. So, I saw pes in steam sales for about 9 euro and decided to give it a serious chance, today I played and while it's way better than past PESes I still come across some things were the reason why I was playing FIFA. I decided that this time, I should ask the community about the issues I'm having, and maybe I can get past those issues with your help.
So, let's get started
Maybe the core problem I'm having with PES is how easy it is to foul, both in favor of me and my opponent, sometimes I'm fouling people without even pressing an input (appart for analog stick and RB/R1), most of the times I'm defending just with the analog stick as it is more likely to not foul this way. Please tell me if there is a workaround in defending. I should mention that PES is WAY BETTER from a tactical standpoint compared to FIFA, players are very loyal to their position and WON'T wonder around leaving players free.
While speed is very realistic, I'm finding hard to accurately control my player and i find players very "heavy" on turning (don't tell me it's realistic I used to be a winger in real football and I was never moving like that). I'm guessing that's somewhat intentional to make the player pass the ball more frequently, but dribbling is very uncomfortable, for me at least, maybe once I become more advanced, I will get around that. If you have advise on that, I would gladly listen to it. I don't find it a major issue.
That's the last one but I think that's not really an issue but mostly something that's only on me, I find it hard to control my passes and shots, I'm sure that there are more things than pressing RB and aiming with the stick, because I'm doing that and the shots seem very "bad"
In conclusion, the only MAJOR issue I'm having, are the fouls.
I feel bad for only mentioning the "bads" in PES so I think I need to stress the "goods".
Here we go:
good movements from the players, very good positioning, apart from "turning" very smooth movement, goalkeepers actually do something (as far as I've seen), the game isn't based on luck that much, I have NOT seen any instances of scripting so far.
P.S. :Excuse my bad English, I'm Greek and English isn't my mother tongue
P.S. 2 :Before you

Hoping there are also some PES fans on Stadia with all the love FIFA has been getting.
A couple of questions:
how likely do you think it is we will see pro evo 2022 on the platform? If I am not mistaken Konami did list themselves as a Partner, or am I wrong?
(more a question for the hard core pes fans) with Stadia being a cloud platform, how would using custom option files work in order to upload all of the proper licensed kits/tournaments/teams etc? I have my doubts that this will be possible, considering this wasn't even possible on XB1 last gen.. The process for this on PS4 usually required downloading the files onto a USB and uploading directly to the console..
This is a huge game for me and my friends on a local play basis and my friends also said they would skip getting a next gen console (along with me) if they are able to play pes2022 on Stadia as they were blown away by the platform when I showed it to them.
Would be a major bummer if 1) this game didn't come at all and 2) didn't support option file uploads.
Cheers!
It had some competitions like the 3rd Bundesliga and the Croatian league. It looked and played exactly like Pro Evo. I saw it in a YT video once and i was talking about it with my nephew today
I meant "licenses" in the title.
Lets start with the pros of PES over FIFA -
Pros of FIFA over PES -
So going by pure gameplay, PES is clearly the better game for me. And even if the absence of licenses is a turn-off for somebody, there is a feature in PES wherein if you download a patch, you can get all clubs in your game for full experience.
FIFA is only played for its licensing and overall larger EA hype but since FIFA 18, they have been copy-pasting the same game each year. PES did the same for year 19 to 20. For 2021, FIFA shamelessly did the same thing (graphics look worse to be honest) For PES, the developers showed less money-thirst and added a 2021 Season Patch to the previous version, and said that they will focus on providing a better game for 2022.
I hope PES gets more attention and licensing in next years. EA should be stopped at some point.
Boy oh boy what I wouldn't do for a Soulsborne-esque Castlevania. Its a huge franchise that Konami has been mishandling for a long time. The Netflix show is a hit and the sweet memory of Symphony of the Night is on every original Playstation fan's mind.
With PES, Sony could have a decent alternative/competitor to Fifa, which honestly has been going down in quality for basically a decade. I know EA has monopoly on licenses, but Sony could do something creative to work around it.
Contra could be remade in 3D and be similar to Doom or even Killzone, or it could stay 2D and be reborn as a rogue-like series.
MGS and Silent Hill... nothing needs to be said. Konami virtually seppuku'd with these two franchises.
Seeing as how Konami basically exited the console market the time is perfect for Sony to swoop in and buy the rights to these franchises. I wouldn't want Sony to outright buy them; Konami can keep YuGiOh and whatever they are doing in the mobile gaming market. What are your thoughts?
Hello,
I am a newbie here. What should I upgrade on my laptop to get my laptop playing Pro Evolution and PES soccer games only? Attached (pictures) are my Samsung laptop specifications. Thanks.
