A list of puns related to "Narrow Gauge"
Has anyone else noticed that starting with season six of the model series the faces of the narrow gauge engines looked more youthful and child like until the end of the model era? I noticed that and I find it interesting and would anyone else be up to discussion?
The arrangement is Bo'Bo' + Bo'Bo' + 12x 2'2' + Bo'Bo' + Bo'Bo' (or 4M12T) .
I'm working on a guage swatch before starting my first wearable. The pattern calls for 4"x4" swatch of 10 stitches x 11 rows in (Sc 1, DC 1) with a 6.5 mm hook. My first Swatch was 3"X3". Loosening tension, I was able to get to 4" tall easily, but the swatch was only 3.2" wide. To get to 4" wide, I had to go up to an 8 mm hook, but then it's wayyy too tall.
What do I do to fix this? Can I just compensate by adding additional stitches to the stitch count?
Any help would be appreciated bc I can't for the life of me figure this out, and the pattern calls for 6.5 mm hook and 7 mm hook, depending on the place in the pattern, so I really don't want to change hook size anyway if possible.
Do most big pits now go for the heavy duty long distance conveyors, or is there still a case for using rail with ore wagons? I still use wagons in the small pit I work in, but it really is dinky.
Related to the above, do any of smaller size placer mines use movable light rail systems at all, or do they all use heavy rock trucks etc?
Random one I know!
The title speaks for itself, the game should be relatively new, should have decent graphics, and it should be a full game, not a dlc.
New player here (joined for war 83). I've seen several posts about adding railways to the game, and the suggestion that they'll be fixed routes between fixed locations. I think that's a good idea, but I've thought of something else in addition. What about player-built narrow gauge light railways?
In the First World War, both sides (more specifically the British, French, and Germans) extensively used temporary/quickly built narrow gauge railways to transport troops and supplies from the main supply hubs (which were in turn supplied by the full-sized permanent rail network) up to the front lines. I thought that you could have something similar in-game:
The tracks could be laid along any land/terrain that a trench/bunker/other existing earthwork within the game can be dug, with the ability to build small wooden bridges across depressions in the land/level crossings across roads if needed. Diesel and Steam Locos would be available (Diesels being cheaper to build and use the same fuel(s) as road vehicles, steam engines being more powerful and more robust but requiring coal and water). Points could be added to provide run-round loops at the ends of each line/sidings and branch lines along the route. To make building the railways worthwhile, the wagons would have twice the capacity of a road truck (diesels being able to pull two wagons, steam locos being able to pull 4). To ease construction/removal of the railway, each section of track should take 1/2 the time to lay as it takes to dig one section of trench.
Thoughts?
I want to find some narrow gauge tunnels for trainz 2019. I have tried to use dig hole but that always fails. The locos I'm using are wildnorwester's skr models. And the track is TRS19 Track 1 Procedural 30' gauge - Seasonal
Hi.
There used to be this project on LEGO Ideas about the Talyllyn Railway. The author even provided instructions. The download link the author provided sadly doesn't work anymore, does anyone still have the download? I want to build some of the things but I need the instructions...
Gather round y'all, it's poll time
