I have consent from my partner (Q) to share their story. They came home extremely upset about the continuous treatment they and their coworkers received after a really difficult year, just like all of you.
A little backstory first. My partner and I are average fresh college graduates. We finished school in September 2020 and went into a hugely depreciated market because of COVID. We really are just in survival mode. After having a fucked up experience at a weed dispensary, Q had a work injury from an armed robbery. (That’s an entirely other story that I will have some details of here) We really counted our blessings when they found a position open at Seattle Mercedes dealership so soon after the robbery and having their worker’s compensation denied. We skipped the surgery necessary entirely because we can’t afford the healing time (6 months of no work). (Not life threatening but Q does have mobility limitations).
Cut to the dealership. Mercedes is a luxury brand that can pay its workers a fair wage, but no, they take advantage of hard working people instead by making empty promises of “climbing the corporate ladder”, stringing along unbeknownst applicants. Q started as a car wash attendant, but is qualified to be a manager of the car parts department - they have 6+ years experience doing large scale parts processing. They did not apply for this position. For 6 months they did the grunt work, that obviously no one wants to do. They got their compliments and praise while advocating for themselves for raises and changing departments, then crickets on getting the salary they deserve.
Cut to another month and they finally get their voice heard only because a parts manager retired. Of course they get thrown into it with minimal training, but looking at it from a pay raise they take it. All this time for the next 6 months they never get a salary for doing the work of a seasoned parts manager - for a total of a year the Seattle Mercedes dealership fucked over my partner even though they had threatened to quit multiple times then reassured that they’re going to be paid better.
Then, cut to Xmas. Bonuses, for keeping the department running smoothly, working weekends, being flexible, training many other new employees (who quit very soon after because they saw the huge problems from a mile away) and many more things a great worker does…right?

I get $17/hr(which is not enough) to be in so much physical agony that I cannot stand after getting home and I have to cry myself to sleep. I have a buldging disc in my spine that presses on my spinal chord and arthritis in half of my joints. No covid precautions and half my department is out with positive covid tests. Me and my entire household are at extra risk for covid. They will not even give us a broom to sweep the floor. I am exhausted and in pain, and the best part is I cannot go to the doctor . I will get fired for missing work if I try to get help for my condition which could potentially paralyze me if I lift something wrong and herniate that disc. Lifting 100+ Ibs is part of my job. I've lost some control of my body below the waist since working here already and I'm only getting worse. Guess I'm gonna get paralyzed for walmart.

Problem
1 ) Someone else accessed my Flipkart account ( And no, it wasn't my family, or a friend; I don't share my credentials with anyone. This person was able to order a pair of headphones, add his own name/address/phone no in my account. Although it's kind of scary that somehow this was possible i was hoping that the FlipKart team would be able to resolve it since i have been using it for years now.
- I had gotten a message on Whatsapp from Flipkart Business Account (it seemed legit because they had the tick symbol), which i blocked because i don't want to hear flipkart updates all day.
The Exchange
So, i get a message regarding the delivery date of the headphones (which is how I realized someone made an order), I reach out to customer care. Here is where the fun begins:
I explain my issue, i also ask the agent if they are online on whatsapp and the agent is like flipkart doesn't do that. So I ask them if they are going to address the problem of someone in my account, as well as people using their brand to defraud people of their money.
I get a response "Please wait while we check the issue" or something and then a new agent joins in.
Again, i tell him my issue, and now this agent insists that since it was made from my account it must be a family member. As i explain to him if that was the case, i wouldn't contact customer care. He leaves.
Agent 3 enters, i do the process once again. Inform, elaborate, and ask for help. I also ask him why agents leave abruptly after 10-15 mins to which he replies, "connection issues." Regardless, this guy tell me the problem has been escalated to the concerned team which will reach out to me the next day.
Today no body reached out to me, I had to do it myself. Agent 4 enters asks me what my issue is, so back to square one. They also send a scripted message that says "Please wait for a few moments while we go through your previous chats so we don't ask you the same questions again".
And then they go ahead and ask you to share the details of your query once more. Fuming, i type my issue ONCE again and by the time i do this, Agent 5 appears.
Agent 5 sends scripted messages like "I'm sorry to hear that, please wait a few moments as i check with my team". And after all this, asks me to share the order details which I had already done with Agent 1. This time i refuse to do it, but this guy is persistent. I'm seething now, but i do it. And then he fucking leaves telling me that a specialist will handl

So for reference, the bulk of my shares have been sitting in SoFi since I still had a few old sell orders up from the beginning of the year.
Not all of the shares, or sell orders, just proof I had the sell orders.
SoFis limit orders were supposed to be good for one year or till cancel, but when I went on break at work today, I started getting this message.
Now, I'm about to start the process of sending them to FUDelity, so they can then join my most recent purchases at COMPUTERSHARE!
Again, no positions, just proof that it's there.
