For those surprised by Buckells, you’ve forgotten what the Fourth Man was.
He was never the mastermind or person behind it all. He was just another of the four stooges, who acted as a route into the police for the OCG. He was not in charge of Dot, heck the other three may not have even been aware of one another.
As Buckells said, they asked him to do things and he obliged.
We already got the mastermind in S1. It was Tommy. It was always Tommy. But his corruption inadvertently turned senior officers who, whilst they weren’t bent, on the payroll or part of the OCG, protected themselves and the force in such a way that they actually gave power to organised crime. Osbourne included. He wasn’t bent, but he turned a blind eye to corruption and wrongdoing by to protect his own position. Carmichael referred to this as being “pragmatic”.
In Buckells case, his mistake was getting caught last. When he was asked what he had to offer for immunity, he had nothing they didn’t already know. Notice how he started reeling of things they already knew and had evidence on. All the hands had been played. Everything has already been revealed by that point, he is but the last missing jigsaw piece in an otherwise complete puzzle.
They made such a big deal of having Buckells screwed in the interrogation, but he actually won. He won because the need to preserve the integrity of the police force was seen as more important than his crime....
...and THAT is the true villain of the whole series.
That is the mastermind.
It was never a person, but the careful balance of a morality - what bad would you be willing to do for what good.
Even our heroes.
Steve popped pills to keep going. Kate consistently stole people’s trust. Hastings gave money to Corbett’s wife.
Fascinating how so many people needed a big bad “person” at the end of it. Someone to blame. A villain of the piece.

Spoiler Alert * watch through episode 4 before reading!* I don't think that Martin is the mastermind behind this kidnapping. More than that, I'm not sure that he ever even touched Kate. My reasoning is as follows:
- The show is definitely implying that Martin is a sexual predator but they haven't shown him touch her except when he grabs her hand to help her up after the garden party, nothing.
- When talking to her therapist they show a flashback of when Kate tries to escape. She says to Martin "Why are you keeping me here/ what do you want from me?". If their relationship was sexual I'd think she knew the answers to those questions.
- They show that Martin only comes downstairs to bring food when Kate is in the shower. He sneaks down because he doesn't want her to know he's there. Plus she says why won't you speak. I don't think they have any contact after he locks her in the basement.
- When he drugs her with the sandwich after escape attempt, she wakes up with the basement stocked with supplies. So that he doesn't have to come back down to the basement for a long while. Also, she wakes fully clothed and in the exact same position.
- When shes going on chat rooms she chose the abduction chat over a sexual abuse chat.
Martin is definitely a monster but i think there's another reason for why he locks her in the basement. I don't think it's sexual.

I think that Zahha is a God of Destruction from one of the 6 erased universes, now you might be either thinking "Yeah that's a reasonable assumption" or "That's really fucking stupid", and while those are both perfectly reasonable thoughts, I have evidence to back up my theory.
The first piece of evidence comes in Part 10 Book 1 Chapter 1 where he says "That Childish Dispassionate King, Those Meek Obsequious Gods, All of Them, Obsolete!", These lines imply that he knows who the Omni King is (there was only one at the time of his erasure) and he knows about them well enough that he knows they are childish and lack emotion. It also implies that he knows the gods and how they fear and are completely obedient to the Omni king (Obsequious means obedient to an excessive degree). This piece of evidence alone is enough to prove that's he's at least a god himself, "but why a G.o.D" and "why couldn't he just be an old G.O.D instead of from an erased universe?" you may ask, well I assumed that based off of the following three reasons.
The second piece of evidence is found in Part 10 Book 1 Chapter 7 when Zahha says "Well I Do Suppose I Do Owe You For Playing Your Part In Making This Tournament of Time A Reality" This line obviously means that Beerus had a part in making the tournament of time, and I believe I know his part in it. His part was setting up the Universe 6 Tournament, leading to Goku meeting Zeno, which then leads into the Tournament of Power, which resulted in all the erased universes being restored, which atleast in my theory, restored the 6 previously erased universes. As far as I know from the information we know so far, this is the only way I can think of that Beerus could've had a role in creating the Tournament of Time, if you can think of another way, please comment about it in the comments. This is also further reinforced when Zahha talks about the powers of the Super Dragon Balls and specifically references their power to RE-create universes.
The third piece of evidence can be found in Part 10 Book 1 Chapter 8 when Beerus asks "The "Omnificence" Crystal?, The Hell is That Supposed to Mean? Whatever That Thing is, It's Got Enough Kick to Cancel Out My Hakai" and Zahha responds "Oh But You Have, Better Yet You've Used Them Before, Lord Beerus" This implies two thing
