A list of puns related to "Loquats"
Currently in moist stratification around 50-55 degrees. I was hoping to grow it as a container plant in zone 7, but I don't think it'll be feasible. Looking for wild roses with good hips, prickly pear, hops, or about any perennial food plant that will do well in zone 7.
I'm trying to cut back for a spell and I'm using this batch of wine I made last year to taper, and it's just not very good. There's this weird flavor in there and it makes me gag a lil bit, but if I chill it and gulp a couple glasses and then smoke a bowl I can generally ride that through until bedtime without the desire to be drunker outweighing the desire not to drink that piss.
It's pretty bad, but still better than the carrot wine, which is still better than the parsley wine.
PSA, don't make wine out of roots, or grasses, or loquats. Go buy some strawberries or grape juice concentrate or something.
As the title says, does anyone have any? Did they adapted to the weather or simply failed ?
I brought some Loquat seedlings, and I would like to know people experience with them. If you kept them in sunny area protected from wind and frost. Kept in greenhouse?
Will post my experience if there will be some interest.
I'm interested in growing a loquat but I'm not sure what variety to buy
What varieties do you like the best?
Hello greenthumb friends, I have two loquat trees that look like they need some help. My Big Jim loquat looks a bit droopy and not as perky as he uses to, and my Golden Nugget loquat appears to have sun damage to the leaves.i live in California in a 9b climate. I've since rotated my Golden Nugget loquat tree someone side doesn't get the brunt of sunshine, but I'm not sure if Big Jim is supposed to look so sad. I've attached images here. Any advice is super helpful! I worry about my trees!

I have two Loquats (FL, 10b), and have some questions about both:
Loquat one, which I recently moved:
It has some new growth that looks healthy, but I'm seeing a lot of yellow and brown streaks/spots on the leaves, and a few blackened branches as well. Is this just stress of moving, or is this the dreaded fire blight?

https://imgur.com/x2BHiPq - some leafs looking a little crispy
https://imgur.com/NgGbFDJ - Some blackened and shriveled looking ends

https://imgur.com/lrGRubY - Close up of new growth that looks fine as far as I can tell
Loquat Two, I recently got this one but it's not in the ground yet:
https://imgur.com/Vnp0dWr - This one is still potted, not in the ground yet. But it has this gray/brown fuzz on many of the branches that scrapes off with gentle pressure, revealing a nice green stem below. Is this normal?
https://imgur.com/oYEe1MI - This same plant also has what seems to be a lot more dark spots on the undersides of the leaves than normal. Is that just normal Loquat stuff, or is there an issue here?
Hey all!
I just released a bootleg edit of an OG Nixin slapper, his Lost Lands set inspired me to make this, if you were there then you know how absolutely FUCKED his set was β οΈ
One of my loquats died of fire blight and I need to remove it. Is there a special treatment I need to do? Can I safely plant a different type of tree in its place, and if so, how soon?
Any tips appreciated!
Loquats EVERYWHERE in LA! If you are not familiar with these lil fellas, they taste like a pineapple and a peach had a baby. Because they bruise easy, they are generally not sold commercially (so, not found at a store).
I just moved to a place with a loquat tree. I made some loquat cobbler (pretty good), looking at making loquat-strawberry jam, and would love some more tried and true recipes to use up these little globes of yummy.
