A list of puns related to "Letter Of Intent"

Can anyone familiar with the Ed delay process please tell me how the letter of intent is written? I don't know how formal it needs to be and if it needs to similar to a cover letter for a job or more like a personal statement. Also, I am not sure what I need to write under "Cadet comments" in my accessions packet. Please help! Thank you!

Hello, I am re-applying this year and really struggled with writing my introduction paper last year (or letter of intent/ questionnaire from UofT). I am not very practiced at talking about myself, especially under this circumstance. I have a lot of experience in both genetics and counselling and even did a full-year internship at a GC clinic. I think If I had some examples writing it this year would be a bit easier and maybe I would score better? Please message me if you are willing to do this, I would be so so grateful (and would love to somehow reward your time/efforts).
Iβve had many people tell me that programs/reviewers stop reading after the first page and keep it to ONE page MAX including header and addresses. But most examples Iβve found are a page and a half or more? What is the general consensus among programs? Is there a preference?
Any advice before the final countdown to e-submit?
This advice has worked wonders for me. I used to stress over every little interaction and have no idea how to handle it effectively, so I just started typing letters to the people involved in notepad. It doesn't matter if they're exes, crushes, enemies, strangers, family, or whatever. Putting your thoughts down and addressing them in the second person is very cathartic.
Long story short, I was waitlisted at a DO school a week after the interview (February 18th), wrote a letter of intent the next day. Last week, I was fortunate to get accepted at DMU-COM but I'd rather go to the other school. Should I let the school I wrote a letter of intent know that I got an acceptance elsewhere and I'm still interested in their program? Would this make me seem less desirable since they could give someone else who doesn't have an acceptance a spot? Unsure how I should tackle this. I just don't want to put down a $750 deposit, get accepted at the other school and lose the deposit. Any advice is helpful. My stats for the other school I'm waitlisted at are above GPA & MCAT averages.
I'm currently working on my application to a Master's program and I have to write a letter of intent.
The website of the program I'm applying to says "We especially welcome applications from racialized persons / persons of colour, women, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+ persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas."
Trying to figure out the best way to include the fact that I'm gay in my application without saying "Hi, I'm Pleaston and you should pick me because I'm gay." One friend suggested I try to include work I've done with LGBTQ organizations etc. but I can't really think of any obviously gay organization I've worked with. Any ideas from other Gay Bros on how they did this?
So Iβm in a confusing situation: Iβve interviewed at my top choice school over two months ago with no word back yet. Iβm considering sending a letter of intent but I am worried that committing to this school will mean that I cannot negotiate financial aid in the future, should other schools offer me more money. Is that the case? Does committing to a school means that you have to go there no questions asked?
Hi all, Just looking for some advice. I submitted a Letter of Intent to a school in California (School A) and got waitlisted. I got accepted elsewhere (School B) and liked that school more tbh. Is it breaking the contract of the Letter of Intent if I withdraw my application before they even decide to accept me? I am going to submit my $1500 deposit to School B and there is just no way I can come up with another $2000 for School A if they accept me. I am in need of advice. Thank you
Title basically says it all, I interviewed at my top choice school in the beginning of October and the next week they sent me an email saying they put me on their waitlist. They also said that acceptances arenβt usually offered until April. However this school has historically had a lot of waitlist movement (although not so much in recent years) so I still have some hope.
I was wondering when I should send my letter of intent. Also is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of getting accepted? They do allow updates to be sent in as well. Thank you guys in advance!
Iβm currently on two waitlists for this cycle, one is βHigh Priorityβ and the other is unranked/non-tiered. I know there must be others in a similar situation, or maybe others who have an A but are on a WL for their dream school. I was curious and wanted to poll my fellow neurotics about general attitudes towards writing multiple letters of intent. Personally, my moral code slaps me on the wrist every time I think about it, and deep down I wonder if these letters actually hold any weight in the eyes of Adcoms. What do yaβll think?
So I'm writing my letter of intent for the Computation Arts program and they want me to submit it both in my initial application and with my portfolio. The problem is, they want me to put my Concordia I.D. # in the letter but I won't get that until after I've applied. So do I just not include it when I attach it initially, or do I put my NetID or something?
Thanks!
How do you format it and what types of things should you include? Iβm unsure of the proper protocol for creating and submitting one to my top choice school.
Hey all,
Long shot but I work with a dude that wants to catch footballs for Nebraska and is an all-American in track. He probably won't sign but at the very least as a joke can anyone provide me with the letter of intent form? Yeah I'm bored at work. But hey, never hurts to ask, right?
I am going to apply to a PGY1 program but also interested in early committing to a PGY2 in same institution.
My question is if i put on my letter that I am interested in a program bc of the offering of PGY2 in my area of interest, would it sound too cocky/ over the top that i would assume they would try to early commit all PGY1 residents? (I heard some programs with pgy2 dont even do early commit)
Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks!
I was offered a job in China. The company required that I sign a Letter of Intent to sign any contract put before me when I arrive in China. I have since decided that I would no longer like to work in China. I am a British citizen living in the UK. How enforceable and meaningful is this Letter of Intent for me? There's no mention of a specific amount of compensation that I would have to pay on it though it does mention compensation for costs incurred by them.
EDIT:
Terms and Conditions - "This contract is considered to be a 15 month contract between January 2020 and April 2021."
"I hereby state my intent to teach for [redacted]. This is only a provisional document and a formal work contract will be signed upon arrival in China. If by any reason I fell to sign the formal work contract or fail to abide by the terms and conditions then I am liable for any incurred costs."
I am concerned that I could be liable for the costs of them being short a member of staff.
Would it be possible for them to charge me for that?
This is an international chain of language schools. They could well have the resources to enforce this.
My cgpa is just above a 4.0 and I want to switch to health sciences but I canβt since they require a 7.0 to switch into that program. I was wondering if anyone has written a letter of intent to the head of the faculty (or whomever) to maybe let me in? I just seem stuck and doesnβt seem like thereβs any other way. Also, Iβve already spoken to an academic advisor twice and they donβt help much.
I chose to deviate a bit from the normal format everyone always submits for residency programs and I'm beginning to get a bit worried. My opening paragraph includes your typical "I am writing to express...:" but it also includes a quick 2 sentences on my personal and professional goals. I don't specifically go into why the program is a good fit for me until near the end of the letter. I keep seeing all the examples/formats from resources saying that should be second paragraph/in the beginning, while others say the second and third paragraph should be about you. I guess my overall concern is how strict are the layouts for these letters? I understand there is a general format for the content that should be included, but does that apply to how you lay it out as well?
Interviewed at my top choice in-state school a few days ago and trying to figure out how to write a letter of intent. What should I include in the letter? It was an MMI interview so i'd be writing the letter to the admissions office. This is my top choice school and honestly my best shot so I really wanna get this right
