“What we seek to avoid is a program that for five years reduces product costs year one to year five successively and then has a massive spike in year six where literally fees will catastrophically rise to where they are today or worse.”
So let me get this straight; He's saying that giving families a 5 year break from today's rates isn't good for Ontarians 'long term' because they'll have to pay what they're paying now (defined by himself as catastrophic) in 5 years.
Now I'm not a conservative basher, i judge each Gov't based on performance, but how can they not see how moronic that position is?
I'm sure they're holding out for more, but the longer this goes on the longer parents can't afford it, negating any real gains in the longer term.
It may not be a perfect solution, it is a Federal agreement, but so not worth the political points.
Dear Mr. Lecce,
Just checking in, as it’s been a while since the parents and educators of Ontario have seen/heard from you during a time of great confusion and impact to education. Some guidance and assistance to making schools across the province much safer would be greatly appreciated at this time.
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
On a serious note, I don’t ever want to hear him talk about teacher absenteeism (which this year has been due to the isolation rules put in place by the Ford government) again when he has been missing when the education sector needed guidance and leadership the most. If the rumors of him being Florida are true, that should be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Has anyone seen or heard why Lecce was awol until today? Why does it seem like the press is letting him off the hook for his tomfoolery?
I realise we're literally a league above them, but are there any doubts we'll drop out in the round of 16 or should this be an easy moral booster for the team?
I'm relatively new to the club so I don't have the historical context and would love to hear your thoughts.
Who will be playing? Who might get dropped from the team? Any predictions you'd like to make?
