As an illustration, there are numerous Christian denominations such as Catholics, Orthodoxy, Protestants, LDS, and so forth. Not to mention even within them there are more sects like Lutherans, Baptists, Adventists, etc. Additionally there are Christians that don’t consider other denominations like LDS as Christian.
Essentially, I’m wondering if all, some, or even no Christian denomination be treated exactly like how ahlul kitab should/intended to be treated. I would preferably to have answers from Quran, Sunnah, or scholars.
Also what kind of Christians were there during the prophet’s pbuh time?

Is the punishments in the Kitab ever authentic? I want to know more about it, and how did Muslims take this as reference for capital punishment? It'll be nice to see everyone's opinion and thoughts about it
