Not satisfied yet? Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Chapter II:
>Article 15 states that the "Official language and writing script (of Iran)... is Persian ...[and]... the use of regional and tribal languages in the press and mass media, as well as for teaching of their literature in schools, is allowed in addition to Persian." Per Article 16, "Since the language of the Qur'an and Islamic texts ... is Arabic it must be taught ... in school from elementary grades until the end of high school."

Unfortunately countries who themselves suppress their minor ethnicities, believe the same thing is happening in other countries as well. Well at least not in Iran, even with all shitness of the government. Because of a simple fact, everyone, Persian or non-Persian, are Iranians, and that's how Cyrus the Great was ruling over all 24 groups/ethnicity in Achaemenid Empire.
The fact that I as an anti-regime, am posting this in defence of Islamic Republic, is that this false news and propaganda are far more dangerous than Islamic Republic, as they can kill millions over a lie, not just thousands of protestors like what Islamic Republic is doing.
Would like for you to guess what they mean.
Hey everyone 👋! It’s Yeganeh 19 from Iran and I made this post to meet with people who are looking for a native Persian speaker for practicing the Persian Language or just curious about Iran Text me if you’re a one ! :D
Does anyone know any good Persian summer language schools outside of Iran?
I know there are some programs in the US and some in Armenia, but I think I'd be keen on Tajikistan. The only problem with Tajikistan is that it seems like everything on the internet is geared towards Americans on the CLS. I'm not an American citizen so can't participate in these schools. I was wondering does anyone know any other language schools in Tajikistan?
Everytime I play any online shooting games, the lobby has a decent number of Arabs and Iranians who seem to be aggressively mumbling stuff (pretty sure it's swear words) which I'm unable to comprehend nor reply to. Need help so I can make them seethe more effectively
Given the rarity of literacy and the fact that Persian would've been a second-language to most... were household chefs educated men? Was some other member of the household reading (and translating) the recipes for the kitchen staff?
Hi everyone, if you want to learn Persian, I can teach you from beginning by free, I like to be in contacting with foreigners and their cultures.
I was having a discussion with someone about the necessity of teaching native languages of a region to schoolchildren of that region (besides Persian, the common language) and the importance that local TV stations (شبکه استانی) should provide content mostly in their region's local language. I find these two ideas to be helpful in keeping local languages (like Luri, Kurdi, Gilaki, Mazandarani, Turki (Azari), Talysh, Baluch, Arabic, etc) alive and prevent their extinction.
I ask this community to provide their comments. I find this issue of importance because I want to know what Iranians (Persians and otherwise) think of this matter since it seems a portion of Iranians absolutely don't care about death of every Iranian language except Persian.
Look at this map. If the government doesn't do anything, most of the native languages (along with their cultures) would be forgotten forever.
This is a critical period we are in. Since parents are speaking to each other in their native language but speak to their children in Persian since they see theirs, unfashionable or regressive.
My ideas:
1- Teaching the school-children of each region, their native tongue in public schools not private institutions (and certainly not university courses)
2- The local TV stations should provide most of their content in the native language (unless there is an emergency)
3- The stigma of having a dialect in speaking Persian because of ones native tongue should be removed.
4- Parents should be incentivized to speak to their children in their native tongue.
The sentences below are supposed to say "Improve your Dutch for free". I need to know if they are correct.
- Polish: Popraw swój holenderski za darmo!
- Persian: هلندی خود را به صورت رایگان بهبود بخشید!
- Romanian: Îmbunătățiți-vă olandeza gratuit!
Think about how amazing that would be if they add Persian language to the game, I would definitely prefer Persian speaking Prince Of Persia. Many people would prefer persian language with english subtitles.
Also, it is a shame that ubisoft use persian culture and they don't bother having even persian subtitle support. It is a pity, please add Persian language to the game called "Prince Of Persia"
A little bit of background. I speak Urdu as my first language and know English a decent bit. When I have always wanted to add a couple more languages to my list. I am not just interested in being able to listen and speak. My criteria of learning a language is being able to read, write, listen and speak both formal and informal forms of the language.
I accidentally stumbled on a few Persian songs that I really liked which reignited my forgotten will to pick up a new language. As I already explained that Urdu is my first language and in our literature words from Persian are used a lot so I thought I might have a headscarf here. So I dived right into some Persian content and then realized that yeah, I can recognize and understand many verbs, nouns and adjective but was only able to recognize very few conjunctions, pronouns and prepositions.
I have a dozen or so questions which are not very straightforward to look up on the internet. On top of that there are very few resources on the internet for Persian.
What would you guys suggest, how should I proceed.
