For Rogoff, ok here. Wesley So I don't really get. You'd think Garry Kasparov, Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana et al would be high on this list, but then again...
I notice this isn't like the most kibitzed players but rather than most kibitzed pages, so people could be kibitzing a lot on players' games but not their pages...
So yeah I figure the kibitzing is to do with memes, controversy or whatever and not actual discussion
We see that u/BlancheFromage spent most of yesterday documenting that there were many Buddhists in the United States before Daisaku Ikeda's 1960 voyage to cities in North and South America. We suggest that Ms. Fromage spend her time more productively since we already discussed about 6 months ago the early origins Buddhism to America.
In that post we reviewed Kenneth Tanaka's article in Tricycle Magazine which suggests a classification scheme for the many denominations of Buddhism in the United States.
>One fascinating aspect of Buddhism in America is that, for the first time in nearly the entire 2,600 years of Buddhismβs history, all the major Buddhist denominations in the world today coexist in one country. In many large American (and Canadian) cities there are more different kinds of Buddhism than are found anywhere in Asia, including Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, and Kyoto. In the Los Angeles area, for example, close to 100 different Buddhist traditionsβrepresenting virtually all the worldβs main denominationsβfind a home. Whereas in Asia, Buddhists from different countries have rarely known, or even known of, each other.... For me, this trend provides a new and exciting opportunity for all Buddhists to learn from and better understand each other.
Tanaka proposes four broad categories. We see that Ms. Fromage focused mainly on examples from Tanaka's first category of Buddhist organizations in the United States:
>The first group consists of older Asian American Buddhist communities. They started their temples in the mid to late 1800s and are mostly of Chinese and Japanese origin.
In short, insular immigrant communities transplanted and sustained the religious traditions they had practiced in their homelands. Their culture and intent was not evangelical.
Tanaka describes the three other categories in his taxonomy: Buddhist traditions brought from more recent (post-1960) immigrant communities; converts, primarily Caucasian, centered on meditation practice; convert Buddhists whose main practice is chanting--of whom the majority are affiliated with Soka Gakkai International.
Indeed, the first gro

Panfam also intends to hellcamp Irmalin to make sure Goons are broken out of the game. So much for "not a war of extermination for us, we just want 1DQ glassed".
Welcome to the new blue donut, the one totally not for forever, just for a long long time until FRAT gets a big enough lead to ensure Serenity v2. :)
