A list of puns related to "Kauffmann"
Happy to see that the Yankees will be in town (Aug 7, 8, 9 maaaaybe sticking around one more day to boo the Cardinals) so I'll be happy to cheer for the home team.
I'm coming in with the basic questions: food before or food there? Lodging? I understad theres not much around the stadiums, but I also know how crazy Uber prices are right now.
Beer prices and locations and favorites? Oh, and I guess I should ask where to sit. Hoping to not be in the sun and typically prefer the third base side and to keep it under $30 after fees and stuff- fine with somewhat nosebleeds and happy to shift around based on recommendations for yall experts. Also- super interested in finding the best BBQ and/or things to do
Oh and of course, if anyone wants to come along I'd be more than happy to share the games! Thanks in advance to all yall!
P.S. If I missed a sticky with all these comments please feel free to be snarky and link it- I looked for a while with no luck.
We had our prediction thread yesterday, but now it's time to hear your thoughts on the whole event. Plenty of names on the undercard, and Marsellos Wilder - Deontay's brother - will have his third pro fight at cruiserweight. What's your pick for the best fight of the card?
Let's also hear your plans for watching it. Any /r/boxing regulars going to the Staples Center? Sleep or cocaine for those in Europe?
The fight is live on Showtime PPV in the US and on BT PPV in the UK.
My name is Kevin Kauffmann, and I write dark fantasy and fairy tales, among other things. Since 2012, you may have seen some reddit threads or free promotions where I talk about some of my self-published work.
Iβm gonna do that again, soon, but I wanted to first give the spotlight to Surviving Tomorrow, a speculative fiction anthology that is donating 95% of profits to relief for COVID-19 by providing test kits to underserved areas. 29 different authors contributed stories to the anthology, including Neil Gaiman, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Seanan McGuire, Cory Doctorowβ¦ itβs a pretty insane list of bestsellers, and the eBook is only $5 for a huge amount of content. Robert Silverbergβs novella is worth that on its own.
I was lucky enough to know the right people and have been working behind the scenes with Aeristic Press and 25 & Y as one of their marketing people, and helping start up a small press has definitely been a whirlwind experience.
On a more personal note, Iβm in talks with our publisher regarding three of my own books, but her favorite seems to be the Misadventures of Rumpelstiltskin the Third, a set of interwoven fairy tales that I released a couple months ago as an almost-customizable YouTube series/podcast. Iβm sure any finished product would be considerably different, but Iβm pretty excited about the prospect of a special edition fairy tale book.
For those who want to jump into my existing novels, From Hell with Love is definitely the one geared toward fantasy readers (and itβs permafree), but Iβve written plenty of science-fiction, horror, and even a political novel about hallucinogens. Iβve also dabbled in writing a few short stories that were almost contest winners or were rejected in very nice terms. It was pretty neat when I heard back from David Farland about one of my stories.
And that should cover it for now. Iβll be here all day and answering questions, so feel free to treat it like some sort of socially-distanced hangout. I got plenty of odd things to talk about, like my Beat Saber Youtube channel, or reopening a restaurant during COVID-19, or my thoughts on Marvel crossover events after I binged t
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey r/fantasy, Iβm Kevin Kauffmann and my name might look familiar if you hang out on r/freebies or r/efreebies. I self-published my first sci-fi novel, Murder of Crows, back in 2012, quickly followed it up with the rest of the trilogy, and I eventually got all three into Amazonβs Top 100 Free books.
Since this is r/fantasy, though, I think youβd probably be more interested in From Hell with Love, which is the start of a dark fantasy trilogy that follows a leper as he becomes the Horseman of Pestilence and then has to save the Devil. I also have an absurd fantasy manuscript Iβm shopping around with a couple agents, and it's about a boy who inherits the curse of Rumpelstiltskin. Itβs told through layered short stories, and it's a little sentimental. Caution: this trilogy is a tearjerker about a boy and his cat.
I also have a standalone (so far), Ouroboros, which is a contemporary political book about hallucinogen abuse. Itβs short and sweet, and along with Murder of Crows and From Hell with Love, the ebook is free for the next five days for you kind folk. Recently revised, too, so theyβre better than ever (this is me shilling for reviews).
More in line with fantasy cred, I just got published in Aphotic Realmsβ Grimdark Grimoires for my story, Vigil of the Ageless (and I have review copies of that for the first 10 who privately message me), and I was recently a finalist in Baenβs 2018 Fantasy Adventure Award Contest.
I also go to a ton of conventions like World Fantasy, Dragoncon, and Magfest where I used to promote my material in cosplay, so if you ever remember some creep dressed as the Merchant from Resident Evil 4 as he peddled books, you might have even met me (coincidentally, how I met my girlfriend).
And just to add some interesting trivia, my girlfriend is a Southern Fiction writer whoβs insanely good and about to get published, I once lost 60 lbs in four months playing DDR, Iβm a Beat Saber enthusiast and have my own youtube review ch
... keep reading on reddit β‘Long story short, my property manager got mad at me for not letting her in at 8am. Changed the lease to make my cat a different color, when she lost the first eviction (for having a dirty apartment, Had a few beer can about). My dumbass never kept a copy. Got evicted, They tried to destroy my credit. Went after me for 9k in imaginary damages to the property. Im fine, I bought my house in 2017. Who else has had this experience with Kaufman? If you havenβt heard, stay away!
It's on ESPN.
Twins fan here (not just checking in now because we're in first place for the first time in what seems like a decade). I'm planning a trip with my girlfriend to KC for a long weekend and intend on going to Kauffmann for the first time ever. I was looking at tickets and am interested in the Craft and Draft section. Can anyone who has bought these tickets provide some feedback as to whether it was worth it and if so, which tickets to buy? I see options for seats, tables and benches.
Thanks in advance!
