A list of puns related to "Joseph Grimaldi"
So I managed to get a role in a completely new musical opening at the Kenneth More Theatre (in London, sorry international folks, but there is a livestream available!!) and it's called 'The Pantomime Life of Joseph Grimaldi'. I believe u/Sunneshine was looking for the musical online!! Well, it brings me OVERWHELMING delight to tell you that it's showcasing next week! Here is the link with more information about it and how to buy tickets and access to the livestream too!

When I tell you that this musical has so much heart and raw emotion, I'm not kidding. We all have so much love for it, especially after the year/s we've had (2020/21). I'd love to see some of you there!
SYNOPSIS:
The son of a deranged Italian immigrant, Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837) was the most celebrated of English clowns. The first to use white-face make-up and wear outrageous coloured clothes, he completely transformed the role of the Clown in the pantomime with a look as iconic as Chaplin's tramp or Tommy Cooper's magician. One of the first celebrity comedians, his friends included Lord Byron and the actor Edmund Kean, and his memoirs were edited by the young Charles Dickens. But underneath the stage paint, Grimaldi struggled with depression and his life was blighted with tragedy. His first wife died in childbirth and his son would go on to drink himself to death. The outward joy and tomfoolery of his performances masked a dark and depressing personal life, and instituted the modern figure of the glum, brooding comedian. Joseph Grimaldi left an indelible mark on the English theatre and the performing arts, but his legacy is one of human struggle, battling demons and giving it his all in the face of adversity.

I am having so much trouble finding any information on this Musical!
I found the album on Spotify and I just love it and would love to know more about it! If anyone can help me out that would be amazing.
I'm still making my way through the series but I have to say telling the stranger a clown joke before blowing up the masquerade is one of the most badass things ever! Rip tim

To honor the 1st anniversary of my growing cell hiding out elsewhere, I’ve scoured the many corners of the wiki to compile this Assassin’s Creed Calendar of sorts, wherein I’ve noted every birthday and death day for all Assassins, Templars, and a handful of important friends that have been given a hard date up to this point!
Because of its heft on certain days of the year, I wasn’t able to throw all this into a colorized PDF calendar like I wanted (yet?), so apologies for this format. But now with how many we have, I’d be interested to hear if any of you share a birthday with any of these guys? Not to mention, we could practically pick any day of the year and have a “religious holiday” excuse to give to our bosses. ;)
If your favorite doesn’t appear here, check the fandom wiki, check their actual Wikipedia entry if they have one, and if I missed one with a notable official date for either their birthday or death day, tell me and I’ll add em to this already numerous list!
Enjoy alllll the Assassin & Templar Birthdays and Death Days I could find!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

keep reading on reddit ➡Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes

But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
I awoke this morning to shouts. Outside my window I discovered a back-alley fight in the streets. I had heard of the brutality of the Romans but never would have guessed that only my third day in the city would I witness a murder. After the scene calmed down, I descended to the street to investigate. The body of the man smelled wretched, and stabbed into his eye was a red flower, the ensign of the Orsini. Undoubtedly, the skirmish must have been a brawl gone wrong. Rest in peace to the Colonna man. Nothing like this would have happened on the streets of Tuscany. I wonder how my father is doing, he was not so well last I saw him. May God protect him.
I look forward to today, this morning has not dampened my spirits! Rapidly does my heart beat as I anticipate my meeting today. Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia is a busy man and I only have one chance to prove myself. My studies at home in Florence have led to this moment and I pray to Saint Joseph of Cupertino that I may perform my best for his eminence.
This week I have met Cesare Borgia, nephew of Rodrigo His Holiness Alexander VI (that will take some getting used to). I would have added an entry upon my arrival to Spoleto, but I have been toiling from sunrise to the next sunrise since my arrival. Working for this Borgia will be a long and arduous task, but the new Pope has sent me to aid Bishop Borgia with his figures. I cannot fathom his behavior. He is a wastrel on drink and women, and yet argues scripture with the deacons like the bull sewn into his curiasses. The boy spends days straight sleepless, only to rest for what feels like a fortnight. Managing his schedule will be a challenge.
That said, the young man is very bright, and definitely takes after his uncle. The two are alike in many ways. He is quite well travelled for a seventeen-year-old and his laughter is infectious. I anticipate him going places. Well, he is already Bishop of Pamplona and the new Holy Father has mentioned Cesare becoming Archbishop of Valencia. I do believe seventeen is quite young for such a prestigious diocese but I would never confess that to either of the Borgia’s faces. I have seen the way Cesare is competitive with the memories of other Sons of Borgia. Not only does he contend with the world, but to earn his uncle’s approval the boy fights against his brothers and the immutable memory of the Duke of Gandia.
