[TOMT] [ACTOR] So I found a drawing of Prescott Joule and it reminded me of some actor

Here's the drawing: https://www.reddit.com/user/ChavesFolhas/comments/g6bal3/joule/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

I think it was a 30-56 year old, blue eyed, british actor and maybe it was on Vikings or Game of Thrones. Those eyes remind me so much of someone that may have betrayed his friends or bad guy, but I don't know who.

anyone familiar with a study by James W. Prescott from ~1980?

I was listening to an audiobook this morning (Carl Sagan's "Cosmos") and there is an interesting quote in Chapter XIII ("Who Speaks for Earth") related to a study by a neuropsychologist named "James W. Prescott":

>The neuropsychologist James W. Prescott has performed a startling cross-cultural statistical analysis of 400 preindustrial societies and found that cultures that lavish physical affection on infants tend to be disinclined to violence. Even societies without notable fondling of infants develop nonviolent adults, provided sexual activity in adolescents is not repressed. Prescott believes that cultures with a predisposition for violence are composed of individuals who have been deprived - during at least one of two critical stages in life, infancy and adolescence - of the pleasures of the body. Where physical affection is encouraged, theft, organized religion and invidious displays of wealth are inconspicuous;

>where infants are physically punished, there tends to be slavery, frequent killing, torturing and mutilation of enemies, a devotion to the inferiority of women, and a belief in one or more supernatural beings who intervene in daily life.

>(emphasis mine)

That statement seems to be linking religious belief, slavery, misogyny and high murder rates with cultures that are "repressive of adolescent sexuality" or where infants are "physically punished". and the opposite in cultures where they are not.

Just starting to dig into this further - looks like some of his published papers are archived here - http://www.violence.de/archive.shtml

Anyone aware of any related or followup studies on this?

PLUG POWER CEO Andy Marsh listened to Operational Managers & acquired JOULE for $30 Million last Friday. This acquisition lowers the cost of liquefying Gaseous Green Hydrogen by 25% β€” saving an estimated $20 Million/Year β€” and potentially this β€œtech” could bring in up to $250 Million in Revenues!

πŸ“· More DD Research on $PLUG at: r/PLUGgreenhydrogen

One of the most important things to remember when running a company is this: Always listen to your management team on the front line of operations. Kudos to Plug Power’s CEO Andy Marsh for doing exactly this! βœ…

What a bargain! β€”> Plug Power has acquired Joule for only $30 Million. And, Joule’s technology could be marketed to bring in up to $250 Million in Revenues in the years ahead to companies like SK GROUP.

Fast Growing Marketplace for Joule’s Liquefying Technology: With the demand for Liquid Green Hydrogen Fuel expanding exponentially worldwide, Electrolyzer Plant Owners would love to lower their electricity costs by 25% or an estimated $0.02 to $0.03 per KwH with Joule’s Technology β€” potentially saving a lot of money during the process of converting Gaseous Green Hydrogen to Liquid Green Hydrogen.

Of course, Liquid Green Hydrogen is more efficient to transport because Cryogenic Tankers can haul a lot more volume of GH2 in Liquid Form than Gaseous Form, hence the reason why Plug Power has recently acquired Act Cryo Technologiesβ€˜ Fleet of Cryogenic Tankers β€” which Plug Power plans to expand to 250 Cryogenic Tankers by 2024.

Now, let’s take the HawkEye Macro View:

  • Retail Investors need to know that Plug Power is vertically integrating to lower the cost of production, liquefying, distribution, storage & dispensing of Liquid Green Hydrogen directly to End-User Customers and/or sale of Liquid Green Hydrogen on the Spot Market;
  • Plug Power is quickly ramping up Gigafactory Manufacturing of both P.E.M. Fuel Cell Stacks & Electrolyzers at their Rochester, New York Gigafactory;
  • By the EOY 2022, Plug Power will have an estimated 70 MT/Day of Liquid Green Hydrogen in production;

As a vertically integrated company, Plug Power currently has Revenue from multiple sources:

  1. Manufacturing the β€œBest Technology” & largest, most comprehensive product line of P.E.M. Fuel Cell Stacks/Engines in the world;
  2. Manufacturing the β€œBest Technology” Electrolyzers for Gaseous Green Hydrogen in the world;
  3. Fleet of Cryogenic Tankers for distribution of Liquid Green Hydrogen Fuel;
  4. Infrastructure Storage & Dispensing/Refueling Stations;
  5. Predictive Maintenance IOT Services;
  6. Stationary Backup Power for multiple markets including Top Tier Customers like Amazon’s Distribution Center(s), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) Recharging Station’s Stationary Backup Power β€”> fuel

The truths about Dak Prescott

It seems like after every season, this fanbase is just so divided on Dak. I can't tell if it's our fans being irrational, or Dak's play that's actually concerning.

But I'll list some facts about him that you may agree with or find stone cold:

  1. He's the best option we have to win whether you like it or not. I see some people asking for Watson/Wilson or just drafting a whole new QB. Dak literally brings the same if not better than what Watson and Wilson have to offer, I do not see that as any improvement at all. Maybe next year's draft there is CJ Stroud/Bryce Young, but realize that with Dak at QB, we'll always pretty much be a winning team in the regular season, so having that high of a pick is very unlikely. Dak is gonna have to be QB1 for at least the next 3 years.
  2. He is very capable of leading to the promised land. Far worse Qbs have done it before, this shouldn't be a wild take. Dak is also rather easily a top 10 quarterback, he is more than good enough.
  3. BUTTTT.....He is NOT elite. This pains me to say this but it is true. Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, and now maybe even Allen are the elite guys in my opinion. He DOES need help around him to succeed and win consistently, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in general, because Brady and Rodgers were the same early on to their careers. The problem is that for **THIS ORGANIZATION** to change a very good QB like Dak Prescott is never going to enough for being the reason for that change. He can win the big one with the Pats, Saints, 49ers, Steelers, etc., but this particular organization is so down bad (realize we are the Bengals with cooler history as someone in this sub put it), it's going to take a lot more than a very good QB to change.
  4. He is very inconsistent vs. top competition. Some people say he can't play well at all vs. the big guys. I say that is false. I've seen this fucker go toe-to-toe with Brady and Rodgers (literally has outdueled Rodgers in every matchup despite some Ls), but have performances like he did vs. San Fran. He is wildly inconsistent vs. top competition and we don't know what version of Dak we get in those games. It's really good that he'll perform and win against inferior teams (this is really good btw, bc look at how Indy and Chargers missed the playoffs), but realize it's gonna take 3-4 straight consistent games against top comp to win it all. Him not able to do that consistently is tbh the main reason he isn't elite or clear-cut top 5.
