Ila Puns

I ran out of Caol Ila maybe 3 years ago, and only got around to restock last week.

Poured myself a dram tonight and it all came flashing back. It's so maritime, so pure, it takes me on a cliff overlooking the ocean. I really have not found anything else that transports me to such a place with such a purpose.

I just wanted to share my enjoyment tonight, and hope I'll never have a Caol Ila lapse that long ever again.

Also, I need to restock on Lagavulin. Some days I prefer the woods.

Some that I like listening: (judge cheyakandi, time ki gurtu ravtle) kung fu kumari, pathikella sundari, chinnado vaipu peddado vaipu, maari, etc.

I just finished my bottle of Caol Ila 12, which is one of my top 5 bottles. And now that I’m looking to buy it again, I cant find it anywhere. Is this just a supply chain issue? Has it become a popular hard to find bottle? Or is it common for these type of bottles to come and go off the shelf?

Like the title says, just wondering if anyone knows the schedule for Caol Ila unpeated releases (or if there even is one). New to scotch and, like a lot of novices it turns out, don't particularly like peated drams. The reviews of Caol Ila unpeated I've seen have ranged from incredible to slightly more incredible and are highly recommended for folks that don't love the peat...although, it sounds like even their unpeated releases have a whiff of smoke which sounds interesting. Anyway, thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! This is my first FSA exam and I am really nervous. I am planning on starting to study this weekend and would like some advice on which study resource to use.

Can anyone recommend which is better - TIA or PAK? And why? Thank you so so so much!

I got the email that I made it past the physical and all the other testing. Now I need to wait for them to call me to set an appointment for the waterfront interview (interrogation?*) I was wondering if anyone knew approximately how long it takes for them to call you? I also don't have my original borth certificate, so I'm hoping a certified copy will suffice. Any one have any insight for me?

I Live Alone hit a low of 4.2% in terms of ratings a few days ago and 5% two weeks ago. Only a few months ago, they hit a high of 11.7% on September 10th (Kim Yeonkyeong), but ratings have steadily been slipping since then.

Changes are unlikely at this point, but I already said weeks ago that ILA needs something different. It just isn't the same anymore.

The antics of the idiots in Lee Sieon, Kian84, Sunghoon, and Henry gave this show a kind of innocent and family-like atmosphere. Same with Hwasa, Narae, Hyejin, Doyeon, and Dambi. It will be tough finding something like that again. At its peak, ILA was one of the greatest shows ever.

1. Simon D back as permanent member instead of Key. Key is close with Narae on Nolto (Amazing Saturday), which is why Narae probably got him a recommendation. Nothing against Key, but Simon D seemed to really click with the rest of the group. He is the same age as Kian, and has excellent variety wit and sense.

2. Adding Han Hyejin instead of Jeon Hyunmu. But I guess that ship has sailed, probably too hard at this point to take out Hyunmu for his ex. The media would have a field day with that one. But personally before the member changes, I would've kept Narae as the "main" MC and added Hyejin back. It was a mistake choosing Hyunmu over Hyejin, Hyejin with the other members felt more natural.

3. Keep the core of the main cast intact: Han Hyejin, Park Narae, Hwasa, Simon D, Sunghoon, Kian84. Henry seems to have been dropped. Don't know why they let him go without any mention, he was a big part of their group, as much as Lee Sieon was. It's too bad Jang Doyeon has been cut as well. I'm sure Narae felt less pressured with her friend there.

4. Adding a new member or two to the fixed cast. Some options to consider: Irene (model), Kang Hanna, Kim Yeonkyeong (but unlikely as she's still an active athlete), Bibi, Jae Jae, etc. Someone quirky and eccentric would be perfect. A female version of Kian would be hilarious.

5. More interesting semi-fixed cast members or guests. Lee Jangwoo isn't that great. I liked Kyung Soojin's chemistry with the members a lot more.
