Commissioned in 1890, USS Vesuvius was the first and only U.S. ship outfitted with dynamite guns. Vesuviusβ three pneumatic guns could fire 550-lb high explosive shells at targets a mile away and were used during the Spanish-American War in 1898 to bombard enemy emplacements in Cuba. [3465x1824]

MULE camp with cal. 50 machine gun emplacements?
I was raiding the MULE in Central (the ones with ceramics) North of the distribution centre south of Lake Knot. I was shocked that they suddenly started firing at me! Like, real bullets from machine guns (they look like cal 50) set up all around their tents. I am on the PS5 director cut so it could be new there. Is it? I certainly do not remember that from the last time I played on PS4β¦
I do know that terrorists do use lethal weapons but I did not think those MULE were terrorists. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―

Gun emplacements
We all know gun emplacements can only be used by regular infantry. Things in battlefront 2 should return in a new battlefront game. This list is just things I think should be added.
- Mortars
- Field Guns
- Flak Guns
- other AA guns like the one seen on Yavin 4 in Galactic Assault
- also E-WEBS should be given better positioning so they're useful
- blaster cannons should become a threat again. -_-

What do you think of the stationary level 6 AT gun emplacement?
I want to unlock this (currently AT level 4) but level 6 is quite a hike away. In my experience a lot of people play AT class as well so its competitive. The emplacement gun seems really neat and fun, but the more i think about it the more it seems situational at best. It seems vulnerable and weak otherwise. I've seen it put to good use at times in the rare situations where a player has it unlocked but I'm wondering what people think of it ? Is it worth it to grind to level 6? Or is a well placed flank with a satchel or launcher just way more effective? It's hard to say since I've only experienced one side of the coin.

What would everyone think about a class of heavy weapons or gun emplacements around bases?
I always thought it would be awesome if you could find common military HMG's such as .50cals and M60s around the map at military checkpoints and such that you could take home and use a new mod called a gun emplacement on a watchtower and then use the weapon to defend against sieges and such. Obviously draining lots of ammo and causing noise which would balance their usage. What does everyone think?

Auto Dismantle AT Field Gun Emplacements
It should be common sense that the best way user-friendly wise to dismantle AT field guns should be by simply building another. I cannot tell you how many times I have spent 30+ minutes trying to get back to my field gun to simply dismantle it to build another somewhere else. I just spent an entire game trying to get this done and simply could not. This is coded grief. Is there something I am missing that would drastically affect gameplay if the following was imposed?
TLDR: You should be able to build another AT field gun without having to return to your old emplacement to dismantle it. Building another should be allowed and should dismantle the old one automatically.

[Other]Are there going to be gun emplacements?
I was perusing BF2042 footage and suddenly realised that there were no gun emplacements during the beta. No TOWs or AAs etc. Maybe I just didn't notice them, but anyway, does anybody know if they will be returning? (Personally, I still want them on the maps)

Halfaya Pass. Standing on the tower where the sniper's nest is. I could see the gun emplacement in the distance and zoomed in. I ID'd some things, a soldier, and a couple of trucks. I saw a barrel with a "V" shaped opening to it's left and red in the bottom of that opening. Shot #3 did the job.

Machine Gun Emplacements
I had seen some videos that led me to believe that I could build sandbags with and MG on them, though I never see an option for it when I am building with my Engineer Squad. Is this no longer in Enlisted or if it is how do I access this build item? Also, Yippee ki yay (squad AI yelling intensifies)!

Is there a scenario for destroying say, AA gun Emplacements that's not the "Demolition" Scenario in the main rulebook?
New to the game and I can only assume the answer is "yes." All I have is the main rulebook, if I could be pointed in the right direction that would be grand.

Taking the Guns: static weapon emplacements and entrenched infantry
I've been wanted to run a scenario where in part the players rush and take a fortified trenchline, but I've hit some trouble conceptually as well as making such assaults interesting. Which npc classes make good emplacements and what should i do to differentiate them from mechs that happen to stay in one place, and how do i make infantry fighting from fortified positions deadly and interesting to play against?

Oh Beth, Please let us build Gun Emplacements
I don't care if it's technically just a heavy turret. I want Gun Emplacements in my CAMP. The Gun Emplacement, reminiscent of a M4 Sherman Turret on a static mount, is one of the coolest things I've encountered in the game. They remind me of the decommissioned tank turrets that were repurposed as defensive guns during WW2.
