I was always under the impression that working, economical Fusion technology is still something that we are 20-50 years away from building, and that it's usually big goverment, or multi-goverment projects that are working on this, like ITER.
Yet I'm seeing so many news articles about various private companies working on fusion power, most recent article:

What's going on here? Is fusion power something that is actually feasible in our lifetimes? And by private companies?
Does the 12% buff make a big difference for you fusion mains who have him at 14*? Is it worth investing the 1200 LL z power?
Who do you think would win? And by same power boost, I mean the rival bonus, if you believe in that interpretation, is the same

In the near future, advanced time-travelers from the future or aliens in humanlike guise (it is hard to tell the difference, and they refuse to give any info about themselves or the future except to tell they are acting to prevent some unspecified disaster) contact the governments of the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and South Korea, and the European Commission. They give sufficient proof of their nature and exceptional abilities to make human leaders listen. They tell that humanity should achieve political unity, remedy enviromental damage, and colonize the Solar System as quickly and efficiently as possible.
They provide blueprints for safe and efficient commercial fusion power, quick and reliable means of interplanetary travel thanks to nuclear pulse propulsion, and detailed plans to terraform Mars, Venus, and any other celestial body in the Solar System that can sustain an atmosphere for geological times. They say that FTL using wormholes or warp-drive technology is definitely possible, but refuse to give other details, telling that humans should fix things at home and in their own courtyard before reaching for the stars.
They also provide extensive templates for creating supersoldiers with pretty much any enhancement that optimized human biology combined with best traits from the animal kingdom can provide. Just like the other gifts, the technology can used immediately after one builds the necessary tools and infrastructure. Theoretically speaking, it can also be reverse engineered to provide many other kinds of nanotech and genegeneering, lifting a civilization to the post-cyberpunk/biopunk level of development, but this is going to take a lot more effort.
The enhancement process is relatively expensive - it costs as much to field one super-soldier as it does ten spec-ops operatives (in terms of genetic treatment, training, feeding, special equipment, etc). The treatment is irreversible and requires administration of a specialized bio-nanotech vector and a transformation period of two months, which gives the subject a severe flu-like syndrome. If the subject is put into a drug-induced coma and on life support, the transformation period is cut short to one week and is typically free of side effects. Enhanced subjects are sterile with normal humans, but they breed true with their own kind. Given sufficient time and effort, any human that is sufficiently healthy and youthful to withstand the stress of transformation can be enhanced.

What challenges are facing the top institutions concerning nuclear fusion, and once tackled, how much further do they have to go before it's possible to commercialize this technology?
Kinda new to the game and trynna make the meta PUR saiyans team but I don't know how to get the awakening power for Fusion Zamasu, and can't find it anywhere.
Also the PUR scouter Vegeta as well, but I'm pretty sure that one is just out of rotation on the banners correct?

According to Reuters, Eni thinks they can bring live a commercial reactor by 2030. Given the technical challenges, I would say 2030 is way too optimistic.
Even if fusion plants might be commercially viable in the next decade, I would bet that SMR’s and GEN IV reactors provide better commercial value.
Still, Eni’s Fusion news is something to look out for.
