A list of puns related to "Electioneer"
I canโt remember if itโs worse than other years, but has anyone noticed BoE electioneers (from both slates) skirting/violating election laws?
There was one in Pershing Field Park literally hiding behind a tree so they could hand out flyers and not get seen by the polling workers.
Outside of PS 8 there was someone quietly wearing a hoodie printed with their preferred slate right outside the school.
Is it really that contentious of a race?
The Arabian Ministry and Legislature request the Electioneers that they hold releasing the results of the current election for a Ministerial seat until:
This has been approved by the Ministry and Legislature.
I find it outrageous that this is legal in the county and State, but apparently it is by default since it is not actually addressed as illegal per the voting regulations. For the first time in my life I bothered to look up the State Senator for my district and reached out to them using a form email, took about 5 minutes.
Here's how to do it:
Please try it as we need to fix this broken aspect of our voting laws to prevent election meddling by people like Sawant and her supporters, who have shown they will do anything to keep their power and position.
I was listening to this song earlier and maybe it's simply because I had just watched a "Behind The Music special" on Oasis, but it just sounded like them. The overall style and guitars reminded me of Oasis and for some reason the vocal sounded a lot like Liam Gallagher. They kind of have that same growl to them. Thom Yorke sounds nothing like him normally, so that was weird. Am I crazy and just imagining it since I watched that special, or am I not alone in thinking this?
From the Seattle Times (https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/editorials/no-choice-but-to-recall-kshama-sawant/):
>Sawantโs allies have erected a handful of sidewalk tents around renter-dense Capitol Hill to hawk on-the-spot votes against the recall. A tabletop printer at each uses a cellphone connection to dispense ballots for district voters, inches away from anti-recall leaflets and posters. Visits to four outposts Wednesday found campaign staff energetically denouncing the recall while offering assistance with casting ballots. These โgrassroots voting stationsโ exist beyond reach of Washingtonโs prohibition on electioneering at government voting centers, an omission the Legislature should correct to keep municipal elections clear of hands-on activism. Sawant must not eke out a win under such dubious tactics.
What Sawant is doing here is no different than electioneering at voting booths. We have a mail-in or drop-off ballot system, and do not vote at voting booths, so the time for potential electioneering is effectively the point you are filling your ballots out, or at the time you receive your ballot and drop them off. This loophole must be closed by WA state legislators for the future integrity of our mail-in ballot system.
Please reach out to your state legislators, Democrat and Republican, to close this loophole. The loophole makes a sham of our otherwise very nice mail-in ballot system.
I say there is no weak spot on OK Computer.
Iโve always felt this song is so under-appreciated, just because itโs the most Bends/PH-like thing on OK Computer.
When Thom sings, โ When I go forward, you go backward,โ can we talk about how the bassline/root notes ascend, while the melody DESCENDS, and then on โand somewhere we will meet,โ the notes lock into a perfect 4th? If you see it written in sheet music, itโs like a graph of what the lyrics are saying.
Also lyrics like โCattle prods and I.M.F.โ with him finding a way to put โInternational Monetary Fundโ into a song by snarling what sounds like โIiiimf! Iiiiiimf!โ
Fucking genius right there.
(Okay, there's also a poll on this one that I'm adding just for funsies, but just ignore that part if you don't like it, weirdos. Vote which song you like more. Or don't. I'm not the boss of you.)
Listened to two Radiohead tracks that I normally skip on the way to work today (and judging by poll history, I don't think they're very popular among the rest of the sub, either), and honestly I came out of it appreciating both of them more than I had before. Definitely curious if you people have any similar thoughts about them.
if so tell me so we can get married
Well Part four of the finale continues to be my most detailed section to date as I ended up spending way too much time on the council scene. Oh well this finale is rolling alone nicely and hopefully I will be able to rap this story up soon as the projected word count is starting to get into the 190Ks. Anyway this part focuses on Mo getting to Guanzhou and the fate of the State of Yue.

Stumbling through the streets of Guangzhou is a girl with rabbit ears, wearing some sort of ragged clothing as she limps along the sidewalk that is alongside the ring road she is limping beside. The girl had been limping all night outside of a small detour towards the suburb of Wangniudun where she temporarily went in order to make herself somewhat decent as beforehand she had been completely naked due to her encounter with the thing that is currently terrorizing the world, the corruption. She had that previous night seen someone she cared for deeply disintegrate into millions of pieces along with everyone around her and then she was attacked by some man named Aurelius who claimed that he himself created the corruption and that she shouldnโt still be alive. That does however beg the question of how exactly Aurelius didnโt disintegrate like everyone else in Dongguan but she assumes that the man likely had some sort of immunity to the corruption that she herself just found out about. Granted the Lunarian race used to be fully immune from the corruption however something happened that week which her superiors donโt have a clue as to what it was exactly. That event ended up causing the Lunarians to lose their immunity and due to this many cities along the coast had completely fallen, with Foshan, Guangzhou and surprisingly Hong Kong the last major holdouts in the Pearl River Delta metropolis. The girl herself is attempting to get to the island of Guanzhou, where the head of the entire โLunar Republic of Yueโ or as they would call it, the Colony of Yue. Once she gets to the island she has to find her superior Chief Yi Ji before her own injuries get the best of her, because she already knows that one thing is going to happen before the end of the day which she has already come to terms with, that she will die from her injuries.
Aurelius had shot the girl as she fled Dongguan before managing to somehow lose him, or he just gave up the chase knowing that she was already a goner considering that he ended u
