A list of puns related to "Dishware"
What do you use for dishware? I've been looking, and I'm leaning toward plastic (bad for the environment, but I feel like it's the best option bc I know my baby will throw and shatter anything else I can think of) but I can't find anything that seems non toxic while also being microwave and dishwasher safe. Does that exist? If not, what is a good shatter proof, microwave and dishwasher safe alternative? We currently use a bamboo suction plate, but it won't be feasible if we have multiple children or when baby grows up a bit. Same w cups, we use a silicone one now, but I for sure don't want my child using the glass that we have now. TIA!
My husband and I were just watching TNG, and Data feeds spot. My husband pauses it and asks me, βWhere does replicated dishware go? Giant space landfill on the ship? Back into the replicator to get broken down into its chemical components?β Does anyone have thoughts on this? Was this ever mentioned in a series. Thanks in advance!
Hi there. Husband and I are in dire need of new plates, bowls and silverware. Does anyone recommend a brand of dishes that will hold up but aren't super expensive?
Edit: thank you!! I have all of the plates/bowls/utensils taken care of. Only thing Iβm still looking for is cups/mugs.
Was advised to reach out here.
Looking for dishware/utensils.
Plates, bowls, forks/spoons/knives, and or cups would be tremendously helpful.
Our ceramics broke in transit while we were moving. The box got crushed and the paper wrapping and bubble wrap couldnβt save them.
Household is between paychecks right now, and we have just enough money to buy the gas for work commutes.

I'm remodeling my kitchen at the moment, to the extent the whole room is unusable, and I've been working on it for about 2 weeks. One type of item that has been a lifesaver has been the disposable plates, cups, and dinnerware I had put aside. This got me thinking, in the event of a need to really use my preps for a more serious scenario, this type of stuff would make life a lot easier.
I'm definitely going to increase my stocks of these items here in the next few weeks, once the dust settles.
My style are nice traditional but also modern dishware, kind of like the Mercer set from crate and barrel. The only thing I canβt get behind is that raw clay layer they have at the bottom of the plates, it gives me goosebumps. So Iβm looking for something like it but that has been enameled all over
Newbie over here. I know if I want to resell vintage items, they need to be 20+ years old, but is there an age rule if I'm repurposing the item? Can I even sell repurposed items like that? Thanks in advance!
Ok, hereβs a dumb question:
We have been gifted two really nice antique-ish pottery / clay bread-baking bowls.
Now, our kitchenβand all utensils and toolsβhave been fully un-glutened for years now. No utensil, knife, or cutting board here has ever touched gluten.
But weβd like to, if possible, reclaim these baking bowls for use in our gluten-free kitchen.
However, pottery is porous, is it not? Iβm thinking thereβs probably all kinds of nasty gluten molecules buried deep in all those little holes and micro-fissures.
So, is it possible to βsuper-heatβ gluten to βdenatureβ it away? Or do some sort of chemical treatment to break it down? Alcohol, vinegar, bases, or acids?
Iβm just curious. Weβll regift them if not.
Thank you!
Not sure if this is the right sub, but Iβm looking for a nice set of dishes. I like the Mercer set from crape&barrel, but it has an unfinished coat of clay at the bottom of plates that I canβt stand the texture of. Any recs of beautiful dishes that hold up well and donβt have that unfinished clay layer? thanks!
The movie was focused on women, one had maybe a turbulent marriage? She would plaster broken dishes/cups/etc. to walls in a room until over time the whole room was covered in it? Possibly early β90s but I think itβs β80s. Thanks!
Looking to buy some kid dishes. Iβm a STM and our first kid threw his plate off his chair 1000 times so Iβm not keen on buying something breakable. I guess I could microwave in glass and serve it to the baby on plastic or bamboo dishes, but that sounds like lots to clean.
Does my problem somehow have a magic solution?
