A list of puns related to "Stoneware"
How do we separate without damaging either of them?

The mug is a Le Crueset stoneware mug. Prefer not to destroy the mug if we can help it.
We tried freezing and boiling.
Help!
*** UPDATE 12/27/2021 ***
We finally have success!! π
We used a fulcrum method. Took two people, one to hold it down with a wooden stick and another to pry with a metal pipe. The measuring cup fortunately is none the worse for wear. The same cannot be said about the cup as it suffered some battle scars but still remained intact.

Thank you all for your input. 2021 can finally be laid to rest.
Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking for a new coffee mug for my desk; love the look of stoneware and would love to get it local. I've checked out a few places like Granville Island, but I'm hoping to find a style that's wider at the base. Anyone know of any local artist studios in the GVA that might fit the bill?
I found a brand new stoneware loaf pan at an estate sale. Iβve never used stoneware if any kind and Iβm pretty sure it has to be seasoned like cast iron. Iβm wondering what the best way to season it is?
Also, do I have to preheat stoneware before placing my dough or whatever Iβm going to bake into it?
Iβm super excited to try using stoneware and get creative with baking. TIA
Iβve never had a stoneware piece, especially Le Creuset, break while in the oven. The dish broke cleanly along one side with about an eighth of the casserole dish, including one of the handles, breaking off in one piece. I looked online and they donβt seem to offer the same piece anymore, making me wonder if this happened more than once. Anyone else have the same experience?
I came into possession of an 8 gallon stoneware crock and an olde timey kraut slicer when my dad passed away some years ago. Now Iβm just getting around to sprucing them up to use for some fermentation. The sides of this crock have all manner of nasties stuck to it and Iβm wondering what to use to clean it. Should I go for a soak in hot soapy water or should I opt for the PBW (powdered alkaline cleaning solution) I have for cleaning my beer brewing supplies? I know that the PBW will dissolve just about anything stuck to this bad boy pretty efficiently, but Iβm also worried about it eating through the coating. Anyone have any experience with this?
