A little female Kestrel perching on a telephone wire in Cheshire recently. The UK's most common falcon, and second most common bird of prey after the Buzzard, these aerial aces have amongst the best eyesight in the animal kingdom - capable of spotting creatures as small as beetles from up to 160ft.
I believe this may be a Common Buzzard but would love help identifying. There are a few of these that live near my house (South East MA). They cry out quite a bit particularly when they are flying.
