For context, i live in the UK and we are currently in full lockdown pretty much, nightclubs have been closed for over a year now

Started and beat this game this week. It was great. I've always been a fan of Resident Evil and got on this one late. I will next be playing Silent Hill 1 and 3. The game was definitely creepy and the story left me feeling unsettled. Now, some things to get off my chest. I understand that the first 4 games, especially the first 2, are cult classics (pun intended) but I cant help but feel that the series has never been able to fully tap into its full potential. The games strongest points are its setting, story, design, and themes. The weakest points are it's gameplay, and game design. It felt very unconventional and messy which can be argued adds to the horror factor but is definitely a hindrance in the context of a videogame. Which leads me to ask, would this series have been better off as a movie or book franchise?
Obviously, that question is moot because the movies were never good and never capitalized on the series core strengths and even misunderstood the source material. So what's left?
The best thing that could've happened to this franchise is exactly what didn't happen to it. Kojima, Guillermo, and Ito would have definitely delivered from a story, thematic, and design standpoint. Kojima Team would have definitely delivered on a gameplay standpoint. Which makes the cancellation of Silent Hills that much more painful. I've never seen a situation where all the ingredients for a masterpiece were there and the publisher shot themselves in the foot as hard as they did.
Nevertheless, glad I finally got around to it and will be playing the others after I clear some other games off the backlog.
Edit 1: Pyramid Head was awesome and easily the best part of the game.
Water guns - Phantom and Ghost cause they have those wetty sounds, Judge would be cool, and Stinger cause it hits like water past 10m
Toy guns - Bucky cause it has that Christmas story vibe, Spectre and Ares need some love, and Bulldog cause I already feel like a child using it
Finger guns - Ok hear me out, the hands mime holding the gun... ok nah skip this one
Ray Guns - Like the cliche little green alien type gun. Sheriff definitely, Frenzy possibly, Odin ehh, Guardian would have really cool pew pew sounds
Classical Guns - Make them look really old school and when you shoot or kill someone some mozart concierto blasts the dead sova on the enemy team. Phantom, frenzy, marshal, Classic, pun was not intended
Made a new account and i'm trying to think of a cool name, but i'm not a big fan of the classic pun's almost everybody uses. Basically i need some inspiration π

I have arachnophobia.
It is something I really donβt like about me, because I know it is a silly fear, but I was never able to get rid of it. And it seems like I never will.
My name is Tobi, I am 18 years old and I am trapped in my house.
It all started three days ago. I was bringing in groceries, my father was in the garden and my mother was making lunch. As I brought the last groceries inside my mother told me she would go outside and get dad, because lunch was ready. She told me to prepare the meal. I did what she told me, waiting for my parents. After about 5 minutes of eating I got a bit worried and went outside to check on my parents. Or at least I tried to.
We have a very protected house. Our front door is heavy, we have an alarm system, our windows are made from some weird plastic glass and the lower windows had metal bars on them. When I was little, I sometimes had problems opening the door by myself, but I outgrew my weaker self and was able to open the front door as easily as every other door for the past few years.
But not today.
I put on my crocs, got my keys, because you canβt open our door from the outside without a key, and put my hand on the handle. I pressed it down and tried to push the door open, but I was not able to. I thought my mother locked the door from the outside for some reason, but although I made sure the key was fully turned in the lock, the door didnβt open.
At first, I wasnβt sure what to do so I gave out a short laugh. I thought it was silly that I couldnβt open a simple door, so I kept trying, but it had no use.
I gave up and wanted to open the living room door, that leads Into our garden, to tell my parents the door was broken in some way, but as I tried to pull it open, I was surprised to notice it wouldnβt open either. I didnβt want to break this expensive door, so I decided to go to my room, which was also facing the garden, to open my window.
It was the moment I tried to pull my window open I noticed something was off.
As you may have guessed by now it didnβt open either. As I processed what had happened, I got a bit worried and tried to open the window of my brother but failed. I got really stressed out, so I ran to my parentβs bedroom and tried to open that window but failed again. I sprinted down the hallway to get back to the dining room and suddenly it struck me. I froze in place and suddenly a wide grin cam over me.
