A list of puns related to "Charlotte Mary Yonge"
I’ve been teaching the Gothic and Science Fiction at university for over 25 years here in London, and I’ve edited classics such as Stevenson’s Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and H. G. Wells’s The Time Machine. I’ve written books about topics that range from the invention of the concept of telepathy to the history of the science fiction genre, and short books on the films Alien and The Shining. Princeton University Press asked me to do an illustrated history of the Gothic, which is just out for this Halloween, and tries to cover the whole field, from start to finish. I’m up for the challenge for you to Ask Me Anything about the genres of Gothic and Horror – but also, we thought people might like a narrower focus too: so ask me about Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein or Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s The Yellow Wallpaper. The Female Gothic is a whole tradition in itself, one worth exploring!

If you are looking for the announcement thread for the previous month, it may be found here.
Since the book club traditionally concludes every month with an AMA by the author of the selection, we never really have the opportunity to collectively explore older works; so during the month of October, we thought we would try something a little different. We will be reading the classic horror novel (and novella) Frankenstein; Or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley & The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Each week there will be a discussion thread and when we are done, we will have an AMA with author and professor of Modern and Contemporary Literature in the Department of English and Humanities at Birkbeck, University of London - Roger Luckhurst. Roger specializes in Victorian literature as well as Gothic & weird fiction and is notable for his introductions and editorships to the Oxford World's Classics series volumes: Late Victorian Gothic Tales*,* Dracula, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde*,* The Portrait of a Lady*,* H.P. Lovecraft's Classic Horror Tales*,* King Solomon’s Mines*,* and The Time Machine among others. If you ever have had any questions on classic (or contemporary) horror, he is the one to ask.
From the BBC (Frankenstein):
>Frankenstein tells the story of gifted scientist Victor Frankenstein who succeeds in giving life to a being of his own creation. However, this is not the perfect specimen he imagines that it will be, but rather a hideous creature who is rejected by Victor and mankind in general.
From Goodreads (The Yellow Wallpaper):
>A woman and her husband rent a summer house, but what should be a restful getaway turns into a suffocating psychological battle. This chilling account of postpartum depression and a husband's controlling behavior in the guise of treatment will leave you breathless.
Since both works are in the public domain, you may find copies of each through Project Gutenberg - Frankenstein and The Yellow Wallpaper. These are the editions referenced for the purpose of dividing the weekly readings though any edition should be fine.
You may find the dates of, and links to, the discussion t

According to the timeline Mary left when she was 23, how would the hospital record it if she had already left and if not then were Charlotte and Mary in radley together?
I see it one of two ways.
Either she marries no one and is considered an old maid, or a new character would need to be introduced as I don't think any canon characters that I remember would work out.

Was it not obvious to Mary or Tom that something is going on with Sidney and Charlotte? Episode 6 Charlotte coming down the stairs, Tom is behind Sidney. Episode 8, Sidney asking Charlotte to walk to town, Mary is right there. Nobody saw the two of them almost kiss when Sidney had to leave for London for 1 week to get money for burnt buildings.
Going on a date and meeting up near the intersection since they live nearby. What things could we do?
Dear all,
Thank you for having us. We're developing a feature film that, if it secures funding, would reunite several cast members from Twin Peaks and Lynch crew members.
Title: “Leave The Dead In The Ground” (Neo Noir/Drama/LGBT/Mystery) (100 mins) (Rating: R)
Logline: When a sudden tragedy rips her family apart, a trauma nurse’s search for the full truth behind the accident sends her down a dangerous path.
THE CAST WE WOULD LIKE TO GET: Sheryl Lee, Julia Ormond, Toby Jones, Pat Healy, Patton Oswalt, Charlotte Stewart, James Grixoni, Mary Reber, Wendy Robie, Laurence R Harvey (and others)
Leave The Dead In The Ground is written along the lines of OUT OF THE PAST (1947), MANCHESTER BY THE SEA (2016), TWIN PEAKS FIRE WALK WITH ME (1992) and HEREDITARY (2018). I wrote the film for Sheryl Lee and if we secure funding, we would offer her the leading role in the film. For her onscreen partner, we want to reach out to the likes of Julia Ormond (Inland Empire) or Rebecca Pidgeon (The Winslow Boy) or Anne Heche. We had Clark Middleton attached for the main male role but as you all know, he sadly passed away in October. I'd like to get Toby Jones (Berberian Sound Studio) or Jared Harris (Mad Men, The Terror) as his replacement. Other character actors we want to reach out to include Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille, Big Fan), Pat Healy (The Innkeepers, Cheap Thrills). The following actors from Twin Peaks are attached already: Charlotte Stewart, James Grixoni, Wendy Robie, Mary Reber. For the crew, we have John Neff, the sound mixer of THE STRAIGHT STORY & MULHOLLAND DRIVE, and Andrea Hays, former Peaks actor (Heidi) and now a costume designer on films like THEY REACH.
Our goal is to assemble an ensemble of recognizable character actors and seasoned crew members to produce the highest quality film on a low budget. My film is meant to look like famous three strip technicolor films from the 1940s and 50s like THE RED SHOES and ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS (the film is set in the present). The finished film would likely appeal to indie distributors like Focus Features, A24, NEON, StudioCanal, The Match Factory and IFC. It would also find a good home at streamers like Netflix, Shudder or Hulu. We currently have no financing attached and are looking for $2m (including 15-20% for COVID related costs, film festival submission fees, advertising and licensing of songs from the likes of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Scott Walker, Johnny Mathis, Bern

So upon rewatching this I noticed that Mary's aunt seemed like an overall more interesting character. I think it would've been cool if the movie were about her instead. Like you see her discover she's a witch, go to Dr. Dee and madam with other witches, they experiment on one of her close friends and it ends in failure, this prompts her to steal the flower, she runs away and at the end of the film she loses her magic. That would've been so much cooler than this movie lacking in story and world building.
