A list of puns related to "Cable Harness"
Iβm in the process of rebuilding a door wiring harness on my 2013 E82. Everywhere I go to buy automotive cable, the jacket is way too thick to fit into the wiring harness.
You can buy lengths BMW of cable on ECS or FCP, but the prices are crazy high and I can't get all the thicknesses I need.
Where do you recommend I buy thinwall cable? I need 0.35, 0.50, 0.75, and 2.50 mm2 cross section.
I add virtual parts such as crimp terminals, these show up fine, but when i change from male connector to female or visa versa and i change the crimps, the parts number always stay as the original one in the BOM. The assembly shows the corect vertual parts but BOM show old one.
Currently i have to make the old parts Phantom and Change one to be the new part.
I have re-inserted all the crimps and no luck; rebuild all and get properties do not help. I have restarted Program/PC a few times.

So, I have a question about a movie from, I believe, early 1980s. An American film where in the beginning, there's some kinda night time rappelling from a skyscraper where 2 men are attempting to get down from the top. I think they're actually attached to the cleaning winch as second person on their descent gets their cable bound up/stuck. A bit later in this scene the authorities/military are attempting to winch him back up. This guy realizes he's in serious trouble and decides to release his harness, falling to his death. This whole scene might be taking place in a Central American country too, but it's all very vague. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
I thought I could just use rca cables with split ends, that plug into the corresponding rca slot on the rear of the headunit. However, when I try the audio, only the front speakers run. Am I missing something? Here's an image of the rear of the head unit. I added the rca cables, which are hooked to my new speakers.
Looking to get a jet ski very soon and want to add a hitch for inevitably hauling a single ski trailer.
Anybody know any brand/parts numbers for the power cable to be ran from the battery of the car to the rear hitch?
Good afternoon all. First off there are no diagrams anywhere for my radio and harness I already checked.
There are 2 power cables plugged in right next to eachother and both are red with a yellow stripe... they both measure 17-18a when there is no ignition. How do I identify which one is my ignition so that I can hook up my LOC?? Iβm somewhat of a noob with multimeters so am I doing something wrong?
Edit: 2013 vw jetta, radio is a delphi DE2-DDM

While chasing down a problem (display suddenly stopped working after a battery recharge), I discovered that the pin directly below the display connector key had broken off (green five pin connector). I suspect his pin carries the power for the display, but I'd like to verify. The display almost never got dis/re-connected, so I believe that this was strictly a power application burnout of the pin. I'm curious if anyone else experienced this problem (BBSHd+52v battery+Luna Mighty Mini Display).
I'm in the process of adding a Kenwood 906s and a Maestro RR to my 4Runner using harnesses from Crutchfield. The Crutchfield harness seems well-made but the wires are pretty short and since the Maestro has connectors on both sides of the box, this means that I have little choice but to cram the Maestro behind the head unit along with the rats nest of harnesses. This, in turn, makes me wonder whether there's enough open space back there for the Kenwood's fan to operate properly.
I'd really like to be able to locate the Maestro somewhere else but to do that I'd need to add an extension to each of the connectors plugging into the Maestro. 24" or 36" would reach a couple potential good locations.
I realize I could order the parts from Digi-Key and build my own custom extension cables but I'd also have to buy a suitable crimping tool. Are pre-made extensions available for various connector types?
I got my Brook Wireless Fighting Board and installed it in my RAP N. Everything works fine with the exception for the Home/L3/R3 and the turbo buttons. I currently have an extra button sticking out where I took out the touchpad.
I see that you can possibly plug the headers into the board itself, but the pins don't match. The only other option I'm seeing is to cut the headers, strip them, and connect them through the screw terminals.
What would be the best option in this case? Should I find a harness cable to connect them to the board or would stripping them be the best?
