The Australian Federal Police just advertised 2 jobs requiring expertise in crypto.
Could this be because Australia politicians are deciding to invest in crypto and they're looking for anyone to tell them how to do it? Why do you think?
“Federal Police” calling off of a mobile number?
In the past 2 or so weeks, both myself and my Mother have received calls from mobile numbers, I haven’t answered mine as it’s on my old phone/number, however my Mother answered one of these calls today which she said was along the lines of “This is the Federal Police, there has been fraudulent (or illegal activity in your [bank] account, she couldn’t remember exactly what it said) please press 1. To which she hung up, and later tried to call back and the number was disconnected, she said she has received 3 of these calls today alone.
Is this something I should worry about ? As far as we know neither of us have done anything fraudulent, or is this just some kind of scam? Cheers.
