A list of puns related to "Acer Rubrum"
Hello people on the Subreddit. I was looking for the specific root length (SRL) values of two particular tree species that I have mentioned in the title. Specific Root Length is defined as the length of root to dry mass ratio. (Eissenstat, 1991) I wish to find out the root length densities of these plants for my research and I found their dry mass of roots on a journal article. So, I figured if I can find their lengths from the dry mass using SRL, I can find their root lengths and divide the root length with the volume of the plant pot. On the other hand, if someone knows what the root length densities of these plants, feel free to comment below, and please provide the material so I can cite it. Thanks in advance. :)
There has been mixed info all over the internet about the size of this cultivar. The Morton Arboretum has it growing 40' tall 30' wide the tag when I purchased the tree said 25' tall 15' wide. Has anyone seen these trees mature to speculate how tall they get. I was looking for a small tree in that space.
Hey. I once visited Portland, OR and thought that the red maples there were awesome and want to emulate/add those red colors into my yard/garden. I realize that the Japanese Red Maple Bloodgoods, etc, that can grow in the PNW are going to have a bad time in the Florida heat and soil. But I did a did of research and found that a species name Acer Rubrum could grow in Florida. Three questions: 1) is Acer Rubrum red all year round? 2) is it legal to plant Acer rubrum in Florida?/Is there an approved list anyway of plants that are pre-approved in Florida? And 3) Are there any other alternatives to Acer Rubrum (basically any red-leaved shade trees)?
There are lots of conflicting things on this and Iβd like to hear from a vet or owner whoβs fed these safely. Twigs only. NOT leaves.
