A list of puns related to "Paper marbling"
Hi!
I've tended to bind and marble using artists pads but would like some more ideas! SO what is everyone using in the UK using for textblock and marbling paper? :)
I know Shepherd sell Mi-Tientes for marbling and a few different book block papers but wondered what else was out there?
Which acrylic paints do you use and recommend?
I have been watching videos and reading articles/blogs online and doing my own experimentation but I'm not really having the best luck.
Hey /r/papercraft! Advanced thanks for taking the time to read my post.
With quarantine in full-swing, my paper crafting game has really amped up (namely origami) and I've really taken a liking to the thought of marbling my own paper.
The problem I run into is the GSM of most common papers used for marbling seem to be way higher than a traditional origami paper. From my research, typical marbling paper is 190GSM and suminagashi is recommended 250GSM. Origami paper usually doesn't run over 100GSM before you have to start wet-folding.
I'm considering the suminagashi technique as a way to get double-sided paper and I like the inks (although traditional marbling seems to have much more vibrant colors), but I'm not sure if I can dip a typical origami GSM paper into the water and have it come out okay.
I realize this is crazy specific but I hope there's someone out there who's experimented with this! Let me know if you have any other questions about what I'm trying to achieve. I really appreciate y'all!
Hello everyone! I came across paper marbling and wanted to try it for my origami paper. So here I am in this subreddit asking for advice!
First of I read online and watched a lot of YouTube videos and I got a sense of this spectacular form of art. I saw that you can use different kind of colours and papers and I was wondering what could be best for my purpose:
β’I think that acrilic would be too 'plastic' for paper folding so I thought that watercolors could be a good option but they would need a thick absorbent paper right?
β’As for the paper goes I was thinking of using rice paper (thai-unryu) or double/triple tissue paper (a light paper made with 2/3 sheet of tissue paper combined together with metylcellulose)
β’Shoud I use jus water as the base or thicken it? (I don't know what should I use to thicken the water actually ahah
Any advice? ^ .^ thank you in advance for your time! <3
