A list of puns related to "Let's Have a Party (album)"
... the man agreed, but he doesn't have much experteas in the subject
Beacon Academy's prestige meant that many of the students who manage to cement themselves as cadets in it's hallowed halls were put through trials and tribulations only imagined by everyday people. What it also meant is that Beacon's student body was much more prone to days and nights of relaxation than most students elsewhere.
Tonight was one of those nights.
With the wind outside brisk, students had to be confined to the interior of the buildings in order to enjoy the night. Thankfully, Beacon was more than well equipped. The school's massive indoor swimming pool -heated, of course- had been opened up for the students after school hours. As more and more students found their way to the late night pool party, more and more activities started up: volleyball courts sprang up, some of the weightlifting equipment had been pulled out to allow some showing off, and -as always- a multitude of snacks and drinks were brought out.
With the night still young, the pool party was just getting started.
I shamelessly stole this idea from a previous user who shamelessly stole it from someone else!
Gather 9 items you think people would want to catalog (rare, expensive, or just interesting) and comment here. I'll DM you with a DODO code and a color when it's your turn. We'll come to my island and all swap catalog items in an organized manner!
I did this earlier this week and it was a lot of fun and we all got a lot of really awesome order-able items so I think people will really enjoy it!
RULES:
EDIT: Thanks everyone that was a lot of fun! Let's do it again sometime! Also I must apologize for the state of my island, it's quite barren right now as I am moving all my buildings one day at a time to the other side of my island haha.
So comment here if you're interested and you'll get a color and a DODO code! Let's have some fun!
So Iβve been revisiting so many songs and albums after spending all of 2020 listening to NFR!
What songs surprise you, sounds different compared to the others, maybe sounds like foreshadowing for a new era, or a misleading single?
I think West Coast is a curveball. Compared to a lot of other songs on UV Iβm almost always shocked when it comes on. When you compare Brooklyn baby and Shades of Cool, or Money Power Glory, Sad Girl & Pretty when you cry... west coast is very different but also kinda foreshadows NFR! in a way
Do yβall notice any songs like this?
I also think national anthem and high by the beach are a bit out of place. Not in a bad way at all.
Whatever happens, happens.
This didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine and the details will be written down as he told me the story.
So long story short, my friend is a furry and at the time was attending Midwest Furfest.
Now there are a TON of fun activities that attendees can partake in and most of the panels and activities listed on the official program are totally appropriate for families and kids. That being said, like any other type of geeky conventions, people will hold room parties in their hotel rooms or suites that are NOT part of the official program and are not the responsbility of the convention itself. Very often those room parties will either be gatherings of friends or sometimes they will just be centered around certain social groups. For example, there are Furries of Colour parties now and trans room parties. And sometimes , well, they will be parties of the more sexy kind. You know what I mean.
Sometimes, to attract a certain crowd , especially at the social group parties, they will advertise the room party on a board near the hotel lobby to advertise the party's room number for those who might be interested to attend.
Anyway, those parties are obviously PRIVATE functions and OBVIOUSLY the person who is paying for the suite/room has a complete liberty of choosing who is allowed inside and who is not. Especially if they are just a gathering between friends.
Flash forward to Saturday evening. This is generally the biggest evening of the convention in terms of official events AND room parties. My friend is hosting a room party for gay men in his suite. The attendees are all legal adults, the majority of them in their late 20s early 30s. Nothing too risquΓ© is going on, but it's a bunch of gay men together in a room, so "colourful discussions" and a bit of flirting and groping is happening from times to times (I mean , duh).
At some point early in the evening, they hear a knock at the door.
Friend: *goes to the door and slightly opens it to see a kid, no older than 15 or 16 standing outside the door*
Friend: "Ummmm, hi? Can I help you?
Kid: "Can I come in?"
Friend: "*slight giggle* uh, no. This is a private party. It's not part of the convention. Sorry"
My friend then closes the door and returns to entertaining his guests.
About 15 minutes later, another knock at the door.
This time, my friend's roommate goes to answer the door and finds the same kid standing there, and this time he has his father with him.

Looking to listen with other people. The new Tool album Fear Inoculum comes out this Friday the 30th.
I've loved Hospice by The Antlers for years, but damn if I don't hate some of the production choices on that album. Whether they were intentional or due to a lack of experience, I just don't understand what they were trying to accomplish with some of the decisions.
Some of the tracks suffer from a serious tonal disconnect with the rest of the album. Some of the vocals are mixed into the track like pebbles into mud. I constantly find myself adjusting the volume on certain songs because verses are quiet and choruses are deafening.
Anyone else have an album like this?
So the app scrapes for links, then gives me an "open with" prompt that lets me choose between mxplayer, vlc, and for some odd reason google photos to play the movie. For a split second i see a url, a www28.[randomletters]token=[more random letters]. Well I took a screenshot of the link and typed it into my browser and it pulled up the movie. I've been searching for a video player app with a share function (so i can pushbullet it) to no avail. Anyone know anything?
I can also cast my phone to laptop but i dont really wanna do that.
Post your predictions, the winner will get subreddit god status and if the mods are down some sort of PREDICTED STRONKS 6 flair or something idk its a friendly bet who care
Hello fellow DMs!
As the title states, I'm about to run a campaign with a group of "fresh" adventurers with no kills to their names. The first enemy they are likely to encounter will be a group of humans, some of whom have been manipulated into opposing the party, and might give up or flee at the first sign of real danger, with one or two real hard cases mixed into the group that might pose a real threat to the party.
I would really like to put an emphasis on the gravity of the PCs taking another person's life, at least for the first few levels, as this is a setting where killing someone in cold blood, even in self defense, is looked down upon and might even be punishable depending on the circumstances.
Furthermore, the PCs have never taken a life before, so I would like to make the first one they do take be a meaningful part of their personal story and have real effects on their character instead of just being brushed aside and forgotten a session later.
I already have the idea to RP some of the enemies as falling to the ground screaming in pain and begging for mercy upon taking their first points of damage, and I'll do my best to remind the players of the rules around non-lethal damage.
Does anyone have any input or ideas on this issue? Any experience trying to do something similar in your campaigns? How did it go?
