A list of puns related to "It's Alive (2009 film)"
In the 2009 film, Sherlock Holmes is presented a biologically normal man, with superhuman levels of perception and logic that let him predict his opponents moves with an future sight level of clarity, allowing him to over power him with ease.
Characters in the Baki universe, whilst presented as mortal, possess many feats beyond that or normal human strength, skill and capability.
How far in the Baki Universe could could 2009 Sherlock Holmes go?
Assuming all fights take place in a empty fighting area. No outside items, or support. Sherlock has no time to prepare or plan anything before the fight, and only knows who and can begin observing his opponent the moment the match starts.
I'm doing a project that has to do with alot of the major themes that Soul Detective puts forth. For the initiated it's a Brazilian short film directed by Davi De Oliveira Pinheiro but in cooperation with David Lynch. He stars in it. It was original broadcast as a web series called Boundaries of Thought: THINK TANK, for V2 cinema. But it's gone. It's not on Vimeo, not on wayback machine, (of course). I've searched for about a hour. It wasn't a bad film. Can anyone help a fella out?

I'm not familiar with the remakes since I haven't watched any of them but ok
First of all, I'm not saying it's bad, it's actually pretty decent. But seriously, the highest grossing move of all time (no inflation), it didn't really deserve to be that successful. I know it "pioneered" the 3D movie craze, which is impressive until you realize that trend didn't even last 5 years. It has a great premise that is mildly wasted by a predictable and somewhat unoriginal story. Overall I'd give it like a 7/10, not bad, but certainly not worth 2.8 billion dollars in revenue.
It's not the most complex film. A very familiar and simple setup that pretty much ends where you think it will end. One would definitely categorize it as "torture porn" that is synonymous with the 2000s.
However the film is able to engross you with a sympathetic protagonist who you really root for, a very disgusting daughter and father relationship & some tense inducing but tasteful (if that's even possible) torture porn scenes. The ending is also while very predictable extremely satisfying after seeing the protagonist endure so much throughout the film not just the physical violence but also his backstory.
I consider it a visceral film because it's not a deep film by any means but it's very effective in one grossing you out with the gore and two feeling a certain way with the characters and their "arc types".
Also as an Aussie I do think the country town setting really creates a isolating and creepy tone.
I'm looking for some "quirky", feel-good films such as the ones in the title. I like the 2000s aesthetic, so it would be nice to see some films from the 2000s, but it doesn't necessarily have to be from that time period.
