Today I found people talking about harmony korines tik tok account and I found a lot of people dueting his videos but harmony deleting them for some reason. Does anyone actually know about this or is it just me
I can't find if he's mentioned it anywhere, but considering Tyler's a big fan of movies, i wonder if that's what the title was inspired by
I started watching/hearing about harmony korine 5 months ago and I really like his shorts and movies but I found out he makes books so should I read them or no?
For a school project (I'm a theatreschool student) I have to get in contact with Harmony Korine. He doesn't use social media, so it's a very hard task. Is there anyone who could help me? Or does anyone have tips? Thanks in advance.
I just wanted to start a discussion on how many people would be interested in seeing some of Clark's or Korine's films released by a boutique.
I'm not sure if the movies are a bit too polarizing to be released in this kind of market but I would love to see a Kids and Gummo blu-ray release.
Or even better a Korine or Clark boxset
The whole idea of a show based around kids dealing with such harsh themes is super reminiscent of Kids, the excessive nudity that somehow doesn’t cross over into being outright porn is reminiscent of Ken Park, and the grandma in a persistent vegetative state kept alive by a machine and her grandsons making an ethically questionable living is reminiscent of Gummo.
In 2021 it would be pretty much impossible to make the controversial directorial decisions Korine and Larry Clark made, so we don’t get that full effect, but the influence seems obvious.
Or in general, I'd like to see anything super weird and shocking with a strong visual component. It's all the better if the filmmakers got weird with it and really broke down the barriers of traditional film.
Does anyone else wish Criterion would give Harmony's films the treatment?
