A list of puns related to "Gildan"
i tested alll my designs on gildan dryblend sweaters and they came out great, but when i tested on heavyblend some of the stitching (like the outlines) were off. i already was careful to digitize these designs properly but im not sure why they arent coming out as well on the heavyblend. does anyone have experience embroidering on these two types of sweaters and can give me advice on what i can do? i havent used adhesive spray yet on my embroidery stabilizer yet but i didnt need it with the dry blend. arent these pretty similar in material? i want to use heavyblend because there are more colors to choose from compared to dryblend
When I woke up this morning, my brain said, "this is what we're thinking about now."
hi all! so ive picked up embroidery recently and bought a brother se600 2 in 1 sewing and embroidery machine. ive been having fun digitizing designs on hatch software, and that isnt the problem for me. the problem is when i take the gildan sweater to the machine to stitch it out, the design is doing well but the needle breaks often (mainly when doing a tatami stitch), these are left chest designs so theyre no bigger than 1-2 inches, but im not sure why my needles keep breaking. i do not use a high tension (about a 2.8-3), and i stabilize the material that i am embroidering on with spray on adhesive that sticks well, the hoop secures it in place well too. i just am tired of needle breakage and it is making me discouraged because i have yet to get through a design without a needle breaking. any tips on how to 100% prevent needle breakage would be appreciated! for more details, i embroider on gildan heavy blend sweatshirts, use adhesive spray and cut away stabilizer, 75/11 needle that came with my brother machine. i have noticed that the thread gets caught in the machine (near the spool area), sometimes, so i will troubleshoot that, but other than that im not sure what else to fix, could my tension be too high/low for these sweatshirts? or is the machine embroidery speed too fast? i am careful when digitizing as well, but any digitizing tips to prevent needle breakage that i may not know about (since i am beginner) would be helpful too! thank you!!
additional question, the adhesive spray works well to keep stabilizer in place but the spray is too sticky and gets on other parts of the inside of the sweater, making lint and dust get picked up easily by it, and its annoying. are there stabilizers i can use for embroidering on sweaters that dont require adhesive? for example is there cutaway stabilizer that can stick to the material by itself, or even iron on adhesive for clothes?
Hey so in finalizing everything for my first drop and im searching for blanks. My budget is not really big so GILDAN is really an attractive option but i know that it isn't a quality piece. Are there any affordable options that i can look into. Also would have to hear your opinions on GILDAN in general.
Hello, How do high-quality photos come out when printed on Gildan (or other shirts) with Printful? Any insights or tips on the matter would be much appreciated. Thanks
Ordered myself a couple of these and can attest that they're exactly what you expect out of a solid, everyday t-shirt. Shipping was fast too.
i use 75/11 sharp needles but im looking to embroider designs that are 2 inches or less with some fine details, should i be using 70/10 needle or smaller and ballpoint instead of sharp? also is 40 wt thread alright or is 60 wt better for smaller designs? i notice some of my fine details are getting lost in the fabric and there are some gaps so im wondering if my needle and thread is the issue
