Mine is the fetus theory

I’ve heard mixed things but figured I’d ask a collective group that would have insight. My partner of 8 years died in May. Anytime I’ve had dreams of him since, he always seems dismissive towards me. I don’t really know how to explain it. Almost as if he’s angry with me? Is that possible?

Right so I (after paying 100+ dollars for a Snes mini) finally got the means to play this game and So far I’m at the second city. And I’m enjoying it, A few minor gripes (the ATM system, tiny inventory space that is shared between equipment, key items, and healing items, mushrooms!) but it’s generally a positive experience.

Though the opening act of the game is surprisingly hard. I hear it gets easier as the game goes on however.

I often recreate other video game levels in THPS 1+2's level editor to the best of my ability. I've been meaning to do something Earthbound/Mother related for the longest time now but can never decide on a location from the games that has enough going on design wise that'd make it fun and interesting to actually skate on. This isnt an issue specific to Mother though. Most older rpgps use flat terrain. Compare this to a 3d platformer which has tons of varying terrain, slopes, platforms etc. I realize this is stupidly specific but I'd still appreciate any ideas. 😅

Some things I’m looking for in games are: a good story, decent combat system, and likable characters, and please tell me if Earthbound fits these categories.

Last night I defeated giygas. With this, I’ve officially completed all of EarthBound with only Jeff. There are still a couple bugs in the cutscene following the giygas fight, but I think after work today I can work those out and release the hack tonight! I really want to watch an EarthBound and then a Mother 3 let’s play on YouTube. Who has the best one in your opinion and why? Thank you for all of your future answers

For those who don’t know, the title is in reference to a Hard Drive article. Personally I’d throw out people who are diehard MCU fans who’ve never cracked a comic book in their lives.

I hacked an earthbound ROM to start you with Jeff, and to never add any other party members. The ATM card functions identical to pray when used in battle and the receiver phone functions identical to teleport alpha when used in the overworld. It’s a pretty interesting challenge, inventory management has been insanely important.

so I play earthbound on an emulator because that's literally the only way I can play it.

usually I turn the music off so I can listen to YouTube or whatever, but the other day my internet was down so I decided to play earthbound and turn the music on, only to find that the rom I downloaded is exactly the same, except a earthbound-style One Winged Angel remix would play whenever Porky was onscreen. This is not a joke.

I've been struggling ever since Frank's gang, those battles just involved me resetting whenever another enemy was randomly called into battle. I managed to slowly work my way through, but now going to giant step, the stupid rowdy mouse almost always crits, killing me in two attacks. What's going on? Is this typical or am I underleveled, and if I'm under leveled, how do I not be? the only other enemies on the map get one shotted and just give a single xp.
