A list of puns related to "Oblique Projection"
Hello.
Does anyone know how to do cabinet/oblique projection in Solidworks or NX? Can you please point me at a tutorial.
can someone sketch or draw this for me badly need help
I have an eastern continent and a small western continent in the area I want. the western continent looks ok, but the eastern continents coast (which is the only part shown in the map) curves upwards due to the curvature of the planet, and it makes areas of the same latitudes look like there on different latitudes. I want it to seem like it was a map made by renaissance era methods, so how can this be done? Any help would be extremely appreciated!
I'm trying to create a game with graphics somewhat similar to Tibia. With this projection, a sprite of a single wall takes up multiple squares of tiles, and sometimes 1.5 squares, if you can put it like that.
With that, i can't make a continuous line of walls because the 'next' wall will overwrite the other pixel(like this: https://imgur.com/a/fjh948V ) and i'll endup having to place all sprites by hand.
The rules to draw those sprites are few and simple, is there a way that i can code it to use with unity Tilemap system or something?
Hello game developers, I made an advanced Photoshop plugin which recognizes 1, 2 or 3 layers as an object's sides and builds it automatically. It's the only tool on the market that can do that. It speeds up game art designing process massively. There are some basic textures and 6 projections available, including Isometric, Cavalier and Oblique. The plugin comes in 3 editions: pixel-perfect (pixel art style), smooth (with anti-aliasing) and vector. I made a short video explainer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IV38DEJ2D8 You can see it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp3hWfRH3ao Thank you for watching! :)
I'm attempting to develop my first rougelike and am in need of some help with implementing the oblique projection view I'd like to achieve. Typical rougelike dungeon generation assumes a top down projection where everything is on a single level as illustrated in this picture.
What I'm trying to do is to generate a dungeon from an oblique perspective with multiple levels as illustrated in this picture.
To achieve this look I've created a set of 32x32 tiles in various positions here. Though I'm having issues with figuring out how to add the 'depth' variable to an area and pad all north facing walls as outlined in this image.
Hi!
I've just very recently started developing my own game, it's a 2D game with Steampunk elements.
It's getting to the point where I need art, and I've decided that I want an unique feel to it, so I'm willing to pay for some tilesets and character sprites/assets.
For now all I need is some basic nature and town tilesets/assets, however if things come along I will definitely have more work to be done soon!
I definitely want Oblique projection perspective (think Ultima Online, Tibia, google them as they also sort of capture the style I want, albeit they're a bit more medieval) to it, so that's an absolute must!
PM or email me @ punkdbynature@gmail.com so we can discuss some details about vision and of course, payment.
Thanks!
Hell, I'm not even sure what the real name of the projection is. See, I'm looking into making a top-down drawing method where the Y and Z axes are parallel. Like the most bottom-right part of this image. It's the same projection used in SNES RPGs like Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger.
I've scoured the internet for some language agnostic resources on the projection, but all I could find are ones related to isometric projection Though admittedly, I could pick up a technique or two from isometric, I would like one that targets the projection I'm looking at specifically.
I'm already familiar in displaying tiles, storing them, and basic AABB collision. The thing that I'm struggling with is how to handle the sprite drawing order to get that "pseudo-3d" effect. Like, if the player is standing behind a wall, he will get covered by it, but he will cover the wall instead if he's standing in front of it.
Google has failed me, will reddit be the answer? I have a shapefile of the US and I want to use an oblique projection to better see raised 3-D data bars but I can't find the answer anywhere. Anyone here know?
Hi,
I'm working on a map that is focused on North and South America, and I think the bipolar oblique conformal conic projection would be the best way to go. However, even though It should be included in ArcGIS 10.1, I can't find the PRJ file anywhere. The Esri page gives the specifics, but I'm not sure which numbers to plug into the Modify Projection window (False easting/northing, central meridian, standard parallels, latitude of origin).
Does anyone have the PRJ file, or know how to create the projection?
Thanks a bunch.
What projection and position for oblique chest x-ray are you doing to see the tip of the PICC when it's obscured.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I've been having some neurological symptoms which led to an MRI that had some findings that led to more tests. I haven't been able to get in contact with doctor since the other tests have came up. Can somebody take some time and help explain if I should be worried
MRI There are several vertebral body lesions.
T8 vertebral body lesion, possibly representing a hypervascular or atypical hemangioma (no T1 or fatty signal).
T2 vertebral body lesion, possibly representing atypical hemangioma. Small amount of fatty signal centrally.
T2 vertebral body lesion possibly a somewhat atypical hemangioma, perhaps slightly lipid poor.
Additional small lesions also noted. Since there are numerous lesions, metastatic disease is also considered. Correlate for history of malignancy.
No evidence of extraosseous extension.
Recommendation: Assuming no known malignancy, since there are several lesions and the differential diagnosis would include metastatic disease, recommend CT scan of the thoracic spine to assess for classic osseous findings. If there is known malignancy, this is of concern.
A notice that an imaging finding is present on this exam which may require follow up will be sent to the patient.
Narrative EXAM: MRI THORACIC SPINE WITHOUT AND WITH CONTRAST
HISTORY: Leg numbness.
COMPARISON: Two-view chest 01/10/2019. MRI lumbar spine 11/01/2021.
TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar multisequence MRI of the thoracic spine without and with intravenous contrast was performed and reviewed. CONTRAST: 10.8 mL Gadavist intravenously.
FINDINGS: VERTEBRAE:Normal height without evidence of fracture or bone marrow edema. No subluxation. In the T2 vertebral body there is a circumscribed round mass measuring 11 mm with T2 hyperintensity in somewhat of a speckled pattern. There is mild T1 hyperintensity noted within this lesion. No vertebral body height loss or vertebral body edema is identified. There is a 2nd smaller 7 mm lesion in the T2 vertebral body as well.
Also noted within the in the T8 vertebral body posterolaterally near the pedicle there is a 9 mm T2 hyperintense lesion that is low on T1 and demonstrates enhancement. No vertebral body edema this is seen.
In the T9 vertebral body there are 2 small T2 hyperintense foci with associated enhancement measuring up to 3 mm.
SPINAL CORD: Normal morphology and signal characteristics. No cord expansion or atrophy The conus terminates appropriately.
DISC LEVELS: No significant disc space narrowing, spinal canal stenosis, or n

Previous Post: Cloud and Sephiroth Carry the Burden of the "Universe of Creation & Destruction" - FF7R Materials Ultimania Discussion
In the Final Fantasy VII Remake Ultimania (the first one they released) , in the section discussing the 4 different ways Sephiroth manifests himself, it mentions that the Sephiroth at the Edge of Creation addresses himself in a peculiar way:
>IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE BOOK: THIS Sephiroth addresses himself as "ore δΏΊ" (me) instead of "watashi η§," which is the pronoun he used 5 years BEFORE he met Jenova...
>
> https://twitter.com/aitaikimochi/status/1256221924532916228?s=20 (thanks /u/aitaikimochi)
Many have speculated that this means that Sephiroth is currently not under the spell of JENOVA and instead has maintained his own original identity. We'll explore what this could mean later. However, I want to point out that this development of Sephiroth starting off using "ore", then using "watashi" after his JENOVA awakening, and then here at the EOC suddenly reverting back to "ore" is not actually a new concept. FF7 OG also seems to have had this distinction in mind. Thanks to u/TurquoiseHammer for his amazing translations of the FF7OG Ultimania Omega. See below for an important excerpt:
>Sephiroth
>
>A former hero who became the Planetβs enemy
>
>A hero of Shinra who showed outstanding service during the last great conflict. The forerunner of the SOLDIER program, heβs hailed as the greatest SOLDIER ever. In reality heβs a βson of Jenovaβ created by the Jenova Project. Five years ago, he learned the secret behind his birth and underwent a sudden change. Behaving as if he were Jenova itself, he enacts a brutal plan to seize the Planetβs life and eradicate humanity.

IGNORE THIS PART:
Oblique projection is a simple type of technical drawing of graphical projection used for producing two-dimensional (2D) images of three-dimensional (3D) objects.
The objects are not in perspective, so they do not correspond to any view of an object that can be obtained in practice, but the technique does yield somewhat convincing and useful images.
Oblique projection is commonly used in technical drawing. The cavalier projection was used by French military artists in the 18th century to depict fortifications.
Oblique projection was used almost universally by Chinese artists from the first or second centuries to the 18th century, especially when depicting rectilinear objects such as houses
I'm going to break the synthesis up into a short series of posts over the next few days as it will otherwise probably be too long for most readers to digest easily.
Paul Hill was a rocket scientist for NACA/NASA in the 1950s, and developed the first tilt-to-control flying platforms to model UFO flight characteristics with conventional propulsion technology.
Hill had two sightings of UFOs during his life, the first of which was on July 16, 1952, near the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. When Hill reported his first sighting to his boss at NASA, his boss asked him whether he had been drinking and dismissed Hill's observations. Hill was unperturbed, however, and began an unofficial effort to collect data from other NASA scientists who had their own encounters. Hill then set about trying to prove UFOs conform to the the laws of physics rather than defying them, as part of a strategy to make the scientific community take reports of UFOs more seriously.
Hill lays down his theory of how UFOs work in his book, Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis, which was not published until after his death. Hill never saw a penny from his book; his theory is a pure exercise in scientific inquiry, for which he received zero credit or public acclaim during his lifetime.
What's in a name?
As you can tell from the title of the book, Hill preferred not to use Captain Edward Ruppelt's term "UFOs." Hill argued the craft where not "unidentified" (because observers did in fact identify them as unconventional craft), and that the use of "flying" obscurred the reality the craft were capable of transmedium travel in water and outer space, as well as in Earth's atmosphere. However, Hill did favor the use of "object" to describe the craft, because the craft are physical things. According to Hill's analysis, UFOs are not a projection of some Jungian universal consciousness, or an aparation or hallucination or trick of the eye; they are physical craft similar to human aircraft: metallic and hard; dense and massive.
[I agree with Hill the craft are physical objects, and believe the switch in language to "UAP" and "the phenomena" is part of a MIC strategy to dilute the topic of nuts-and-bolts craft with werewolves and ghosts and other bullshit. Consequently, I am going to refer to UFOs hereafter as "field-vectored cr

The Arrival at Iseon
Part 1
--- Lieutenant Tuvisha ---
Lieutenant Tuvisha didnβt stand post herself very often anymore. As the head of ship security, her duties generally consisted of enough tasks and issues that standing guard on a door or area would detract from the overall good working order of the ship. Over the last two weeks in transit to their destination, however, it had become readily apparent that her personal presence was needed at certain times in order to maintain that same good working order.
That was why she found herself sitting on a bulkhead rest bench near the entrance to the shipβs gymnasium. Due to the size and mixed species crew found on most science vessels, sitting areas were mounted directly to bulkheads every so often, to allow smaller or lower-stamina species to sit and rest during transit from one area to another. The transport rails could take one between major areas of the ship, but the distances to specific destinations could still be taxing.
Nearby to her post, just in front of the open entrance to the gym, was a projected blue holographic warning over the open doorway, marking the current environment beyond as βhazardous,β along with an environmental report. While the oxygen and gas mixture within the gym was set at the Galactic Standard normal of 14.5%, the gravity was set at 2 Galactic Standard Gβs, effectively double what most species would feel comfortable at, and above what some of the crew could survive. Poor Oqllo broke his leg trying to avoid a crash-landing last week when the Rβqali navigator flew through the open hatch without reading the warning. Thus the guard.
As to why it had to be Tuvisha herselfβ¦ It turned out one needed a fairly strong stomach to watch or sit near certain aspects of Terran security conditioning. Millerβs monstrous strength training and Sydniβs breathtaking agility courses were amazing to behold, and many of the crew would often show up to watch, or would tune in on one of the open security feeds; a service that Tuvisha herself accommodated, as it increased the ground and science
