The last remains of a house in Lake Peigneur Louisiana. A Drilling accident cause a salt mine to collapse creating a sink hole. It consumed a drilling rig and 11 barges. The water level dropped so low, the rivers flowed backwards. The lake used to be 10 feet deep is now over 200 feet at the deepest.

CGXEF: Rig Contract Starts in a week, Drilling next to XOM multi-billion barrel oilfield

For those following, CGXEF is up 150% since the last article I posted. More recent news is that their rig contract is becoming active next week. Also, Total just won an auction offsetting their block last week

Next catalyst is rig arrival and hitting oil. If they hit oil, the stock could go up another 5 to 10X

Note this article what was paid for a JV in this area: Billions of dollars.

Deep Sea Drilling Rig Modeled After Hadley's Hope?

I was watching The Abyss last night. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid, probably 20 years ago in the age of VHS tapes. And half way through the movie it hit me like a ton of bricks: This is ALIENS UNDERWATER! The atmosphere in the drilling platform really feels like Hadley's Hope to me. The strong female lead reminds me of Ellen Ripley (while Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio's acting is quite good she obviously is inferior to Sigourney Weaver). There's an "alien". There are Marines (well, SEALs). Even Hicks made an appearance, albeit sporting a rather undignified pornstache.

And then something else hit me: This movie was directed by James Cameron!!! And it was made not long after Aliens!

It's a damned copy. Different story but so much is clearly regurgitated from Aliens.

Am I wrong? 🤔
