Is Chlorine Added to the Baptismal Fonts in Ward Buildings?
I know this is a silly question and may vary from ward to ward, but I'm just curious if they put chlorine in the font....
I was baptized once and am considering rejoining... but I honestly can't remember if there was chlorine. I often remember at baptisms them filling up the font last minute which makes me wonder at what point they'd add chlorine...
Anyways, I think I'm just overly worrying now because of CoVid.... I'm sure I could talk about my concerns with the Bishop and missionaries... Just wondering if anyone had an answer.

Strensky Monastery Baptismal Font - The Priest and Godparents can walk down into the font with the one being baptized. Once baptized the newly baptized comes out of the font facing the altar. This is in the chapel beneath the main sanctuary.

Presence of open baptismal fonts in the narthex
Iβve been attending a very, very small LCMS parish, and thereβs a baptismal font at the door of the church, which is pretty normal, I thought. I asked the pastor if thatβs a functioning font for people to cross themselves with. He says itβs closed, because (and I donβt really understand this) the members arenβt used to holy water.
How common is this in LCMS parishes?

Have you guys heard about the ancient baptismal font which Israeli soldiers dragged from Bethlehem? I am genuinely curious on to why it did that or can anybody bring up an explanation?

As a missionary I used to hang out for a few minutes in the baptismal font, right after a baptism, floating in the liquid sins of my converts. We were not allowed to swim, but once that partition was closed I could not resist. Floating, staring at the ceiling, it was so therapeutic. No regrets.

Coming soon to baptismal fonts everywhere.
To improve the baptismal experience of youth, new converts, and Temple patrons, baptism will now be performed symbolically without water in the baptismal font. The member being baptized should continue to pinch their nose and hold their breath as if water were present in the font.
The adjustments to the baptismal procedure are intended to make the experience more simple, comfortable, and accessible. The adjusted procedure is easier to perform, more modest, and will reduce expenses as we save funds for the second coming. The adjustments do not change baptism symbolism or doctrine.
