A list of puns related to "War Admiral"
Klingons love war, just call them up and ask if they fancy a go and they'll probably be up for it.
1.You and the crew are of course in some sort of stasis /cryosleep to be woken up when the signal
comes
2.The Signal is automated and the System is set up in a way that there does not need to be a single
living human that knows of the Fleets existance for it to work
The architect of the Floods defeat against the Warlord of the empire. Who is the superior tactition? Assume both have identical forces.
Assuming Thrawn loses, what kind of advantage would he need to stop Offensive?

Theyβre very similar games. WOTS is a bit better at the strategic level. UA:D is better tactically.
UA:D adds an awesome feature that allows you to design your own ships. Itβs really fun pitching your creations against the enemy fleet.
For anyone needing to play WITP:AE in 2021 or so here's how I did it on a 49 inch ultra wide.
Download the game and right click the shortcut it generates. Open file location. (This takes you to the game files)
Find the "War in the Pacific Admirals Edition.exe"
Create a shortcut and move it to the desktop, delete the generated shortcut (this is due to the generated shortcut does not launch the game, it launches the auto run launcher.)
right click and go to properties, locate the "Target line" and AFTER the exe" add in your command line. As an example I will add mine here.
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -skipVideo -fd -px1920 -py1080 -altFont -cpu2 -deepColor -dd_sw
Hope this helps
Their reasoning: the highest ranked officer of the Humans' Navies used an undignified and unprompted attack in order to try to gain control of the alien race.
La Superba 1509 March
The harbor of Genoa was busied with moving sailors, merchants preparing their vessels, and captains who'd returned from the previous disastrous battle determined evermore to defend their home from those who'd take advantage of a great Christian scandal for their own gains.
Filippino Doria arrived at his uncle's quarters. He was well aware of his condition having worsened, but even so he was compelled to bid him farewell as he embarked to a battle which would determine the Republic's legacy. However, entering his quarters he was aghast at what he had seen.
Andrea Dora stood at the window, only weeks prior had he been confined to bed refusing to move due to his condition. His gaze fixated outside on the sounds that echoed into his chambers. Almost as if the eyes which he once viewed from world from were still there.
"Filippino, an enemy comes. Our harbor scrambles. Who is it?"
His nephew stood silent for a moment, studying his uncle who had become vastly more alert, almost as if the bustling of war in the Genovese harbor had tolled the bells within his heart.
"The Sienese, they have used a false claim to justify their assault on our Republic. We have heard their navy is preparing."
"So, the snake of Tuscany makes their move."
Andrea shifted from the window and along the wall to the door, as if to exit himself only to be halted by his nephew.
"You are in no shape; I and other Captains will oversee the vessels."
Andrea in a fury snapped viciously.
"I ripped the French yoke from the Genovese bosom and rebirthed this Republic. If we are to lose to the Sienese today in the Ligurian sea, that which we have held dominance over since our conquest of Corsica then we are already lost."
He silenced for a moment, taking breaths as he'd not been as active as he was prior to the incident.
"I have died, but today I will either be rebirthed or given the death I should have gotten against that Muslim coalition. And I assure you, I have no intention of dying yet. The Genovese banner will fly high, and I will rule the seas once more. Inform the Captains to prepare the vessels."
Filippino was compelled to stop him, but he could not. He was a man who would not surrender the sea, not until death. The least he could do was be by his side and absorb as much of what the man understood of the seas so one day, he would claim it as his own.

We do a lot of great analysis and critique in this community, but since joining this community I've done a lot of independent forays into other tactics games to try to figure out what's good out there that might scratch that itch. I'll be potentially making this into a series so that people can check and look at a collection of tactics games for people who care about deep and engaging gameplay. So let's get started.
--Total War Alternatives #1--
Game Title: Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail
Developer: Game-Labs (Indie, recently acquired by larger studio), as well as Darth, the creator of Darthmod for Empire and various other Total War games
Mode of Play: Real-Time Tactics
Steam Price: $30
Play time: 150+ hours to complete all campaigns on the highest difficulty. Longer if replaying campaigns.
Personal hours played: 103 hours
Summary: Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail is a real time tactics game about commanding a fleet of ships in battles similar to Empire: Total War. Each ship is a complex entity and you will have to manage wind, gun range, shot type, ship to ship boarding, naval landings, and ground combat with 18th century line infantry and artillery. A cool detail is that as ships take damage, more crew has to be allocated to pumping water so the ship doesn't sink, which slows the ship down and reduces the number of men that can be assigned to gunnery. Likewise if your crew has to be assigned to pumping water, stopping the ship allows more men to be put into the guns instead. Ships are extremely customizable down to the last gun and the size of the crew, with a lot of different roles such as ship of the line, fire support, and dedicated boarders that can be created by the player depending on the strategy they want to adopt.
Points of Interest for Total War players:
-Very deep real time tactics gameplay with complex units in large naval battles (the final UK mission has over 40 ships in it)
-The campaign rewards ambitious players with captured ships and sometimes bonus missions
-Naval Landings that make Rome 2 look like even more of a joke, and land battles that put Empire to shame
-Excellent and challenging mission design that still allow for player freedom in tactics
-Highly Customizable armies and ships where you decide everything from training, officers, equipment, and the number of men in a regiment or ship crew
-Rewarding ship capturing and boarding mechanics that allow ambitious players to capture ships and use them fo

Cold Waters
War on the Sea
Ultimate Admiral (probably Dreadnoughts, would consider AoS)
The game(s) interest me because:
I've got a bit of the naval "bug" lately. I'm looking for a game that's not a one-ship sim, but also avoids moving chits around a global map. Specifically I'm looking for surface warfare, ideally WW1 or WW2 eras.
My concerns about purchasing the game(s):
Budgetary considerations compel me to only grab one of these at a time so I want to choose wisely. WotS is definitely my preference era-wise, but the reviews are not entirely glowing - especially with respect to the aircraft and subs that differentiate it from UAD (earlier) or the complexity of Cold Waters (later).
Similar games and my thoughts on them:
I have both CMANO and NWAC and I would like to find something that sort of splits the middle. CMANO is a little intense and unapproachable and errs too far on the "sim" side and less on the "game" side of things; NWAC tends to be a shade too simplistic, and because of the era feels like it devolves into whoever makes radar contact first chucking missiles at the other side and then everyone just waiting to see whose point defenses work better and what ultimately happens. Ideally I'd like something that gets more at that Taffy-3 or Iron Bottom Sound scenario than Jutland on the one hand or Red Storm Rising on the other.
During MF its clear admirals are crazy strong, none of WB commander can do shit on them, on top of that its clear Akainu will win against serious 'old' WB, pls dont give me WB not going all out back then, his son just got KILLED in front of his eyes, so yea he was going all out.
Now adding to that, those three admirals about the same level, and Akainu proven win against WB, and Aokiji lose to Akainu but the fought days and days.
Stop glorifying the oldies, they are old and past their prime. Akainu Aokiji and Kizaru is stronger than them imo currently.
what do you guys think? should i take another shower?

I just rewatch the war, and i have the impression that besides akainu, kizaru and aokiji were just not trying. I feel that aokiji just dont want to fight serious and kizaru was trolling like always, they could kill luffy a lot of times if they were really serious, bisedes that garp was not fighting and son Goku didnβt show much too.
