I might be heading to Jordan in December and was wanting to see stars in Wadi Rum. I looked online and Iβve read it might be cloudy during this time. Hope someone can clarify if it would still be possible to hopefully see some stars.

I came back today from the festival. It was the most poorly organized event I attended.
The air shows are nice, but they are NOT worth the trip there, the night party is filled with people living in wadi rum, and while I don't say they shouldn't attend, I should point out that they acted as if it's the first time they heard music, and the first time they saw women. Multiple times fights almost broke out between boyfriends of attendees and locals because they were filming girls without even trying to hide it. In the later hours of the event the stage was only them and few guys from other areas as no one felt comfortable going to the dance area with them around.
All in all, if you are a group of guys looking to get fucked up drunk and dabkeh to jordanian music, by all means, you'll have a blast. But be prepared to spend 5 hours in the blistering heat as there are not enough chairs for everyone under shade and if you don't reserve yours early you'll sit on sand, and even if you reserve it might get stolen and you'll come back to an empty table with no chairs (what happened to me). even my higene was stolen.
if you already reserved not all is lost. Make sure you go with a car and not a bus, and try to find a camp nearby as there is literally NOTHING to do most of the time, this way you can go to the camp during dull times and come back during the 3 main events which are spaced hours apart. Though finding a reservation in a camp is near impossible.
One thing I highly recommend is the helicopter ride, it's a bit pricy (55 JDs per person) but totally worth it and the captain is amazing. You'll see wadi rum in a way you never saw before. Only book the 12 minutes one, don't pay extra for 17 or 22 minutes as the captain will keep you in the air for 20 minutes anywayz if you strike a conversation and if you're generally friendly, he doesn't give a fuck how much you paid for. We stayed in the air for almost 20 minutes while paying for 12.

Quick question regarding the travel to Jordan:
I decided to stay one night in Wadi Rum desert, however I wonder if there are taxis waiting outside the wadi rum visitors centre so I can directly go to Aqaba next morning? Or should I book it in advance so the driver picks me up?
