Would you support adding masterโ€™s level vet professions such as โ€œVeterinary Nurse Practitionerโ€ and/or a vet equivalent of a Physicianโ€™s Assistant?

I think the vet profession could use some additional professions like these.

Right now, there are essentially only 2 roles that hold medical licensing recognized across the US, right? Vet tech/nurse and veterinarianโ€”which means essentially 2+ or 8+ years of study...

In my opinion, thatโ€™s a huge gap and doesnโ€™t leave much opportunity for career growth or transition.

1.) I think the vet profession would get more recognition from โ€œoutsidersโ€ and clients if it more so mimicked human medicine.

  • This can help with understanding the value and cost of vet medicine. Potentially, we could even engage more talent this way.

2.)These options could be a great way for vet techs to advance their career later in life.

  • Additionally, these roles can help offset the demand for veterinarians since they would be able to function much more autonomously such as performing certain surgeries/procedures alone. They would likely still work under a veterinarian or only have capability to open a limited practice, like a vaccine clinic.

3.) Another potential benefit would be if these career offerings were more friendly toward those who wanted to transition their career and already have a degree or some experience.

  • As it stands, if you have a bachelorโ€™s in something related, you either need to decided to get an associateโ€™s degree (or full 2nd bachelors) or become a vet to be licensed with national recognition. I just donโ€™t see it as โ€œfairโ€ that someone with a BS and vet school prereqs completed should get an associateโ€™s to gain fastest entry to the profession. We all know the pay isnโ€™t where it should be already for those who only have their associateโ€™s. So, the cost of a degree that doesnโ€™t โ€œadvance your titleโ€ academically is even harder for them to justify.

Feel free to discuss your opinion in the comments or how things are done in your country!

Thinking about chasing my dream of working with animals...debating between Vet Tech or Veterinary Physician?

Hi Reddit!

TLDR: I want to pursue veterinary science with little scientific foundations.

I am 24 going on 25 very soon and I have a BA in Philosophy and a Minor in Business. I had no idea what to do after I graduated so I went to law school for a year...which was a mistake. I took time off to "soul-search" and have been doing Real Estate for a year but it's still not something I'm passionate about. I am trying to figure out a gameplan that would be most conducive to me being able to go to school and still live/work/provide for myself and my pets. Do you guys recommend going to school at a full-time Vet-Tech program or taking necessary classes through community college? Also, if I'm going to put in the work from basically ground zero, does it make sense to shoot for a Vet Tech position or should I just go for broke as a Veterinary Physician? Sorry if this is so jumbled. Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

All,

โ€‹Based on feedback I've received over the last year, we're going to run the MOS/Duty Threads back in 2021, providing a ~3 year update since the last round.

โ€‹The MOS Discussion Threads are meant to be enduring threads where individuals with experience or insight in to particular CMFs or MOSes can give advice and tips. If you have any MOS resources, schools, etc, this would be a great place to share them. The previous series were fairly popular. They are referenced around reddit on a regular basis and many of them are first page google results when searching for information.

Threads on reddit are not archived - and can continue to be commented in - until 6 months. Each week I will keep the full listing/links to all previous threads in a mega-list below, for ease of reference. At the end of the series I will go back and ensure they all have completely navigable links. /USMCBoot has also run a similar 'Megathread' Series, and I will be linking to the equivalent CMF in each main thread, just for anyone looking to compare.

If you have specific questions about these MOSes, please feel free to ask here, but know that we are not forcing or re-directing all questions to these threads -- you can, and are encouraged, to still use the WQT. This isn't specifically an 'AMA', although if people would like to offer themselves up to answer questions, that would be great. A big "Thank You" to everyone who is willing to answer questions about the MOSes in question.

These only work with your participation and your feedback.

Common questions / information to share would include the followingโ€‹

  • Day to Day Life

  • "What's a deployment like?"

  • Career Advancement/Growth Opportunities

  • Speed of Promotion

  • Best Duty Station for your MOS

  • Any 'tips' for MOS success

โ€‹ The idea is to go week-to-week for the MOS Series, following the same order as the previous Megathread Series, and then do the Duty Stations after.

MOS Megathread Series -- CMF 63, 64, 65, 66 -- Dental, Veterinary, Medical Specialist, Nurse Corps -- 63A, 63B, 63D, 63E, 63F, 63H, 63K, 63M, 63N, 63P, 63R, 64A, 64B, 64C, 64D, 64E, 64F, 64Z, 640A, 65A, 65B, 65C, 65D, 65X, 66B, 66C, 66E, 66F, 66G, 66H, 66N, 66P, 66R, 66S, 66T

Medical Resident considering career switch to Veterinary Medicine

I imagine this is the wrong place to put this but I don't really know where to go. Essentially Im a 2nd year anesthesiology resident at a major academic center. Medical school was difficult, I was hit twice by attendings when I was in school out on the east coast. Then I was an intern when COVID hit and as you can imagine, the past year has been very difficult. I unfortunately landed in a really malignant residency program in California. We get worked to the bone, treated poorly by faculty, and get told that we have it easy when we bring up issues. Constant gaslighting. My program has blackballed residents who tried to switch out to other specialties or anesthesiology programs. I almost applied to veterinary school but chose not to bc my neighbor growing up advised me against it due to the large cost burden associated with student debt. I grew up in a rural area, did 4H and FFA. Heck, Ive even castrated cattle and delivered piglets before. After having finished 2 years of residency in the medical field, I would rather be in debt for the rest of my life than have to deal with the culture of medicine anymore. I cant take time off to destress bc of my program.

Im afraid that I am going to do something that would negatively affect my professional career bc of all the stress Im under. I've worked with physicians who switched over from DVM. If anyone can offer some advise as to how to get started on possibly switching to DVM I would appreciate it. I understand that being a vet isn't all roses but I cant handle being treated like this for another 2 years, and then having to possibly deal with the similar culture once Im out as an attending.

A dog dies after an encounter with a mysterious object

(This isn't what I usually talk about in my write up's but it's a story I haven't seen anyone else talk about. Also if you are an animal lover skip this story. Also thankfully I have an English source here so that will help. And besides even if it isn't aliens something did happen here regardless. Also my English source seems to have more information then the Spanish sources.)

Angel Maria Tonna was born in 1925. And grew up on his farmland outside the small city of Salto, Uruguay which at the time this story took place only had 40,000 people living in it.

His farmland was said to be 3,000 acres big and was mainly a cattle ranch. Tonna had a dog, and two sons while his wife had a daughter she gave birth to before their marriage.

The story starts on February 18 1977 when Tonna was working with his cows at 4:10 a.m when all of the lights at his farm suddenly went out and then he noticed a bright orange light by his barn prompting Tonna to believe it was a was a short circuit and that his barn caught fire.

Tonna and his dog Topo then rushed to the source of the light where Tonna saw what he would later describe of as two fiery disc like objects hovering a short distance above the ground behind his barn.

He stayed watching until his foreman told him that all the cows were going crazy and everyone's dogs were barking.

The object then moves south breaking off a few tree branch's along it's way. The object then moved and hovered above a concrete bath where Tonna's cow's were disinfected. The object then moved towards Tonna and his dog and stopped 60 feet from them. During this time Tonna's dog wouldn't stop barking and barking at the object and at one point even tried moving towards it in some attempt to attack it.

Then Tonna reported that 6 beams of light emitted from the object one of them hitting Tonna and his dog before leaving turning red as it sped up before it was out of sight. Tonna reported that this final part of the sighting caused him immense pain and that he described it as a burning sensation and likened it to an electric shock.

After the object left the generator turned back on but no electricity was produced as all the wires were burned out and according to the Spanish sources the entire city of Salto was left without electricity for hours before it was eventually restored.

Tonna's 19 year old son who was a veterinary student at The University of Salto also witnessed the whole thing.

Following the incident the dog was said to of not eaten

How do we incorporate the clinicians own mental health into medical teaching curriculum?

Hey everyone, Iโ€™m crossing over from the veterinary world to get some input from you big-brained medical doctors. Partly because some of you may be in the psych field and partly because your curriculum is more evolved than in the veterinary world.

As you may know, veterinarians commit suicide at rates higher than the national average. Iโ€™ve lost three friends and colleagues to suicide in my 6 year career, the last one on Tuesday. Iโ€™m at a university teaching hospital and a few of us are trying to find opportunity in tragedy and teach students coping mechanisms, etc. This is very obviously in the early planning phase. When I was in vet school we had some mandatory lectures with pizza where some guy told us not to kill ourselves. It was useless and bothered more than helped.

Are there things that medical schools do that you all appreciate? Is it worth reaching out to the psych department at the university human hospital to see what they think? Iโ€™m absolutely at square one and need help, and Iโ€™m not trained in the human brain. Please help!

Dr Been 2 videos on - (1) getting a doctor's prescription for ivermectin in the US (where non-veterinary ivermectin for human consumption is not available without a doctor's prescription) and (2) getting it cheaper using goodrx app for discount coupon (3mg tablets x 48 tablets down from $220 to $26)

As Dr Been explains in the second video below, he was feeling a bit down and so used ivermectin prophylactically.

He outlines the measures he took to get a prescription, and to get a valid human usable form of ivermectin from the pharmacy.

While many use veterinary grade ivermectin - horse paste, or the slighter better sterile form (because it has fewer additives), the reality as Dr Been explain is that veterinary ivermectin has not been validated for human use, so if you have a choice, it is better to get the human form.

Use of Doctor Title in 2020

Read the WSJ opinion piece Is There a Doctor in the White House? Not if You Need an M.D. - WSJ giving Jill Biden crap about using โ€œDr.โ€ before her name. Itโ€™s gotten a lot of criticism on social media and from the Biden campaign, and I think rightfully so. Author obviously sounds sexist, condescending, and has his own honorary doctorate (Bidenโ€™s is real not honorary). It did get me thinking about the DNP issue that comes up so much on here.

As a dentist, I hardly ever use the title Dr. outside the office and most of my friends are physicians so itโ€™s really not necessary. But I think itโ€™s appropriate for Jill Biden to go by Dr. Biden if she wants to. Sheโ€™s got a real, earned degree, sheโ€™s not giving out medical advice, and she sets a good example for young girls in general. I think itโ€™s VERY different than claiming to be a doctor in a hospital setting when โ€œDr.โ€ and โ€œdoctorโ€ are associated with a very specific position and length of training.

For context, according to the AP Style Guide โ€œUse Dr. in first reference as a title before the name of an individual who holds one of the following medical degrees: Doctor of dental surgery, medicine, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine or veterinary medicine.โ€

How long until other professions(pharm D, DPT, DNP, etc) get added to that list as norms change over time? Can the public understand the nuance of when itโ€™s ok to use the Dr. title socially vs professionally vs in a hospital setting?

(Edit: Not criticizing other professions, just discussing the inconsistencies in how Dr. is used in the US and when people get criticized for using it. I think Dr. Biden is using the title reasonably)

Former pre-vet, now depressed engineer thinking of pursuing vet school again. Need advice

Hello,

After speaking with a few professionals in person and on this subreddit I thought I would make a quick post to ask for some advice.

The long story short is that I volunteered at a vet clinic in high school, always loved animals, made connections, went to university to study science but didn't do particularly well in certain chemistry pre reqs and doubted my chances of getting in. My parents were displeased with my lack of direction and insisted I consider engineering and when I showed ability they pushed me through it.

During the engineering degree I became depressed that I didn't finish what I started with science and vet med, but my parents insisted I finish engineering so that I would be able to support myself. Now that I'm out and working I don't mind the jobs I've done, they have been interesting and I like pursuing engineering related hobbies, like converting my bicycle into a gas bike.

Lately, I've just lost my motivation to go to bed on time or get out of bed in the morning. I'm lucky to have a job right now but I just can't hide my feelings anymore. My family physician has an engineering degree and she inspired me to look at medicine, so I picked up some textbooks and mcat exam materials and felt really excited. Its like I have a chip on my shoulder and i want to prove myself and engineering has made me more confident in my abilities. Its just that I don't know whether I should reconsider vet school or do something else.

Some people suggest that I adopt rescues and focus on moving forward, perhaps consider human medicine or do biomedical engineering. Other people say that I only live once and I should do the things that mean the most to me. Either way I am at a low point in my life and really need to make a change.

Some mature veterinary grads have shown encouragement and others haven't. I thought I would see what you think.

Edit: thank you all so much for the messages! I sincerely appreciate your insight :)

How does OPM account for Medical residency Training with regards to "Highest Education Level Achieved" on the New Employee Education Data Form?

I've accepted a tentative job offer as a physician/medical officer for an overseas Military Treatment Facility (MTF). I've never been a federal employee before, so some of this stuff is fairly confusing to me.
The base pay for the position is pretty low compared to my current income (accepted the job more for non-income related purposes), but the HR guy (host country citizen working in the MTF) tells me that based upon my education level, prior work experience, current income, etc., that adjustments will be made to increase the final pay amount. Amongst the myriad of forms he's sent for me to complete is one called the "New Employee Education Data" form and it asks for my highest level of education achieved. It's not clear to me what level would apply in my case, and the HR guy isn't really sure either as he isn't totally familiar with U.S. medical education stuff. Hoping someone here might offer some insight and advice. I currently hold two professional degrees. They are Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). After obtaining the M.D., I then completed three years of medical specialty training (internship/residecy) to obtain Diplomate status (Board Certification) with the American Board of Family Medicine. Any OPM/HR gurus here that can clue me in? Also, as I've never been a fed employee previously, any other advice in general that I should know? Thanks in advance for any shared wisdom!!

Brain tumour 8 year old Rottweiler: looking for qualified opinions.

My 8 year old Rottweiler started having seizures one month ago. Two total to date. Took her in for an MRI and a benign Tumour was found sitting on the surface of the right frontal part of the brain. The vet neurologist and surgeon who I have dealt with in the past and do somewhat trust, have said that she would be a good candidate for aggressive surgery to remove it because of its location and her strong heart/good neuro exam results. I consulted with a human neurosurgeon through family and a human icu internalist. Both of them are dog lovers and regularly look at brain scans and face similar dilemmas in human medicine. Both unequivocally advised not to proceed with surgery and continue her on her meds to make the next 1-3 months comfortable before itโ€™s her time to go. They said that given the images I showed them from the scan, there will almost certainly be hemorrhaging that occurs during or right after surgery and that this will be traumatic for my dog and likely end in death or long icu stays. Iโ€™m torn and want to make the right decision for MY DOG and not for me. The information I have collected has been conflicting, and while I know not to use the internet as my primary source of information, I am trying to compile as much QUALIFIED info as I can to make the best decision I can for my dog. I do have images of the diagnosis and mri scans, if that could help anyone in giving me their qualified input. Time is of the essence and your time and attention would be most appreciated, as I care deeply and dearly for my dog and am heart broken right now. Thank you so much

Quick Guide to Ivermectin

This is a QUICK Guide for those who have heard of Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19, but are not sure where to get further information, or how to get help.
This guide is for Information Only (NOT Medical Advice).

Summary

The FLCCC Alliance (Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance) is one of the best sources of information regarding ivermectin and COVID-19.

The FLCCC Alliance was organized in March 2020 by a group of highly published, world renowned Critical Care physician/scholars from the USA (with support from around the world), to research and develop lifesaving protocols for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in all stages of illness.
FLCCC Alliance website: https://covid19criticalcare.com/

Clinical trials have shown that Ivermectin is effective in the treatment of COVID-19. It can be used for prophylaxis (prevention), early treatment or late treatment. FLCCC has published two protocols for the treatment of COVID-19:
FLCCC disclaimer: the protocols are not medical advice, but are recommendations for use by professional providers.

(Warning: Morbid dad joke) True Story -- My family were planning my mum's funeral. We always try to keep things light and try to stay positive, just as Mum would have it...

The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.

The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:

"What's sarong with that?"

I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).

His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)

--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.

I'm 35 years old with a joint income of $490k, live in New York, and work as a program manager

0๏ธโƒฃSection Zero: Background

Hello, MD! I hope you're all doing well, and are safe and healthy. I've gone back and forth for a while about whether I should share my money diary. I signed up to do one last year to chronicle our home buying process but chickened out (I'm so sorry mods!). I was worried I'd be judged for what I spent money on, not having a college education, or what might be perceived as frivolous habits. I don't know. Internet strangers terrify me. But I'm finally sharing this money diary because I want this to be a data point: you can have a career (or two!) without a college degree.

Was there an expectation for you to attend higher education? Did you participate in any form of higher education? If yes, how did you pay for it?

I moved to the US right before entering elementary school. I spent half my childhood in a simple four room shack with no running water or electricity (mom's side of the family) and the other half in a large house with a nanny and domestic help (dad's side of the family). From a young age I was told that college was chance at a better life and I believed it -- not going to college wasn't an option. My mom completed a healthcare related degree in our home country but she couldn't practice in the US. My dad dropped out of college in our home country due to his work as a student protester. Both of them worked blue-collar jobs to support our family and were always working. As with just about every parent, they wanted more for me.

I was accepted to a top ranked private university but didn't get a sizable scholarship so my parents and I took out loans, separately, to fund my tuition. I dropped out halfway through my sophomore year due to poor mental health stemming from an assault. No one knows (except for my fiancรฉ and now, internet strangers) the real reason why I left school.

Did you worry about money growing up?

Yes. My parents never talked about their money struggles with me, but I knew money was always tight. After my youngest brother was born, I remember how excited I was to find a jar of peanut butter in our cupboard. We hadn't had any for a while. It had a "WIC" sticker on it and I didn't know what it meant at the time. My parents never talked about receiving government support but I'm thankful that we had a safety net available to us when we needed it most.

At what age did you become financially responsible for yourself and do you have a financial safety net?

I started paying my parents rent to stay

From my 5-year-old son: "Hey"

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."

I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"

He responds, "it's dead grass."

I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"

.

.

.

He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.

Minoan Cretan Food - The Delicious Legacy Podcast

Hello all,

Hope everyone is well!

I'm creating an archaeogastronomical podcast with many ancient , old, traditional recipes from the long lost (and not so lost ) past!

Here's my latest episode about gastro-history! :-)

I've interviewed archaeologist Jerolyn Morrison who for the past three decades is working tirelessly to uncover the secrets of the Minoan diet!

Most of the evidence is in the form of foodstuff remains, fragments of earthenware pots, and ancient rubbish or what was the kitchen type rooms when these were abandoned /destroyed.ย A lot of detailed and forensic zoo-archaeological work is going on as you can imagine!

Crete, is the largest Greek island.

But of course we're here to talk about food and Cretan ingredients and the history of food in Crete! The very first food must obviously have been the food of the chief god Zeus!

Greek legend situates the childhood of Zeus on Mount Lycaeus in Arcadia Peloponnese, or on Mount Ida, in Crete, where his mother Rhea hid him, and the bees supplemented the future godโ€™s diet of goatโ€™s milk with their honey. The Cretans claimed that his nurses Amalthea and Melissa were really princesses, daughters of King Melissus, who shared the care of the divine baby, Amalthea with the milk of her goat, Melissa with the honey of her bees; the name Melissa means โ€˜she who makes honeyโ€™.

In Crete olive cultivation certainly dates to around 2000 BC at the latest. From Crete it spread slowly northwards to mainland Greece; how soon olives there began to be pressed for their oil, and how soon the oil became a staple product, is uncertain and controversial

Pharaonic Egypt imported olive oil from Palestine and Crete.

Cretan wine (Greek Kretikos; Latin Cretense, Creticum), from the island of Crete. Sweet Cretan wines were imported to Rome in the first and second centuries AD, as is shown not only by literary sources but also by the remains of ย numerous amphorae at Pompeii marked Lyttios, the name of a Cretan city. The term 'Cretan wine' meant a very sweet wine, a PASSUM or PROTROPOS, as is evident from Dioscorides's and Galen's uses of the word. Galen sometimes specifies glykys Kretikos, sweet Cretan, but more often leaves the sweetness unstated. It was a white wine, according to Damocrates. We may suppose it is the wine's type and Crete sweetness, rather than its geographical origin, that concerns Scribonius Largus when he includes passum Creticum in his veterinary prescriptions

Skeptical of medical science reports?

Carlton Gyles

โ€œIt is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as editor of The New England Journal of Medicineโ€ (1).

More recently, Richard Horton, editor of The Lancet, wrote that โ€œThe case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darknessโ€ (2).

The first of these two commentaries on clinical research publications appeared in 2009, the second in April of this year. These statements are being taken seriously, coming as they do from the experiences of editors of two of the worldโ€™s most prestigious medical journals. The first article showed how the relationships between pharmaceutical companies and academic physicians at prestigious universities impacted certain drug-related publications and the marketing of prescription drugs. Potential conflicts of interest seemed to abound: millions of dollars in consulting and speaking fees to physicians who promoted specific drugs, public research dollars being used by a researcher to test a drug owned by a company in which the researcher held millions of dollars in shares, failure of university researchers to disclose income from drug companies, company subsidies to physician continuing education, publishing practice guidelines involving drugs in which the authors have a financial interest, using influential physicians to promote drugs for unapproved uses, bias in favor of a product coming from failure to publish negative results and repeated publication of positive results in different forms. The author, Marcia Angell, cited the case of a drug giant that had to agree to settle charges that it deliberately withheld evidence that its top-sel

Debunking Free Market Republican/Libertarian healthcare myths, an Intro to Healthcare economics, an overview of Health Policy, and presenting the Neoliberal solution to the Healthcare problem.

The field of healthcare economics was born with Kenneth Arrow's seminal paper, Uncertainty and Welfare Economics of Medical Care. In his paper, he finds that healthcare markets behave rather differently than that of other sectors, and theorized that free markets may not be the best answer to the healthcare problem. The purpose of this post is to further review the literature surrounding the economics of healthcare markets and summarize the merits of some common health policy.

Note: This post is not a critique of the American healthcare system. I understand that American healthcare is not a free market, but I'm not criticizing the American system. I'm highlighting the problems with the healthcare markets themselves.

Now before we get into the market failures that plague healthcare markets, it is first and foremost important to understand what a market failure is. A market failure occurs when there is an inefficient distribution of goods and services in the free market. In other words, it occurs when individuals acting in rational self-interest produce a less than optimal or economically inefficient outcome for the group. If you don't fully understand what a market failure is, I suggest you read through the article before you continue reading.

Part 1: Competition for Healthcare Services.

Or more specifically, the lack thereof. There is significant evidence that people don't shop around in healthcare, including those who are uninsured, so the mechanism of competition in healthcare is far weaker. This is largely due to an information asymmetry between patients and doctors. When you get sick, you may not know what the best treatment is. You rely on the advice of a physician, who has years of specialized training. And even with hindsight, you cannot reliably judge for yourself whether the treatment the physician offered you was the right one. Sometimes state-of-the-art medicine fails to improve a patientโ€™s health. And given the natural restorative power of the human body, the wrong treatment can sometimes appear to work.

The fact that people donโ€™t shop is especially obvious for emergency care, since a person cannot be expected to price

MOS Megathread Series -- CMF 60, 61, 62 -- Medical Corps Branch -- 60A, 60B, 60C, 60D, 60F, 60G, 60H, 60J, 60K, 60L, 60M, 60N, 60P, 60Q, 60R, 60S, 60T, 60U, 60V, 60W, 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 61E, 61F, 61G, 61H, 61J, 61K, 61L, 61M, 61N, 61P, 61Q, 61R, 61U, 61W, 61Z, 62A, 62B

โ€‹

The idea is to go week-to-week for the MOS Series, following the same order as the previous Megathread Series, and then do the Duty Stations after.

MOS Megathread Series -- CMF 60, 61, 62 -- Medical Corps Branch -- 60A, 60B, 60C, 60D, 60F, 60G, 60H, 60J, 60K, 60L, 60M, 60N, 60P, 60Q, 60R, 60S, 60T, 60U, 60V, 60W, 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 61E, 61F, 61G, 61H, 61J, 61K, 61L, 61M, 61N, 61P, 61Q, 61R, 61U, 61W, 61Z, 62A, 62B

This thread covers the following MOSes:

Officer

  • 60A Operational Medicine
  • 60B Nuclear Medicine Officer
  • 60C Preventive Medicine Officer
  • 60D Occupational Medicine Officer
  • 60F Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Officer
