A list of puns related to "Vatican Library"
On November 5, Pope Francis attended the opening of a new gallery at the Vatican Apostolic Library, which is generally exclusively available to experts, for a modern art show. According to the library's librarian, Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, the library's first public exhibition room, funded by the heirs of American benefactor Kirk Kerkorian, is supposed to "promote the culture of encounter."

An exhibition titled "Tutti. UmanitΓ in cammino," or "Everyone: Humanity on its Way," features artwork by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, who was inspired by the most recent papal encyclical, an open letter released to the Catholic clergy and laity that expresses the pope's views on a particular aspect of church doctrine. Published in October, named Fratelli Tutti, it reflects the pope's beliefs on brotherhood and "social friendship" based on the teachings of St Francis.
In a Vatican statement, the Vatican said Ruffo had been hired to produce a new piece for the exhibition, which would explore migration and travel, "highlighting both its problems and its beauty." According to the Catholic News Agency, the Vatican Library's Sala Barberini is transformed into "a lush tropical jungle" by Ruffo's floral prints lining the 17th-century wooden bookshelves.
"History meets the present" chances are being used by the Vatican to enhance its arts and cultural programmes, according to De Mendonça. A 20-foot-long 17th-century map of the Nile by Ottoman explorer Evliya elebi and Chinese world maps going back to the 16th century are on display in addition to Ruffo's work in this show.
CNA quotes Ruffo as saying, "It has been a journey into knowledge, geography, and the history of humanity." Ruffo adds that "the dialogue between my research and the terrestrial and celestial maps of different eras, cultures, and countries outlines a more interconnected humanity."
