Just watched Felix, and the last scene with Gabriel all started this semi-crack theory in my head:
It's not about Emilie at all, it's all about the rings!
I know this sounds strange, but hear me out.
The episode starts with Gabriel putting on the wedding rings and all, we fast forward to the garden scene and find that, for some reason, Gabriel doesn't know want to move on from his Emilie. He even straight up denies that she's gone, saying that she'll always live on in their hearts. Remember that part.
Then Emilie's sister, practically her clone (at least on the outside) shows up, the day Gabriel is thinking about his wife the most. You'd think that he'd be happy to be with his only other memory of his wife again, but he isn't. He almost seems to purposely avoid her and her questions.
We then learn that twin-Emilie (didn't catch her name) wants the rings from the beginning of the episode back, also assuming he probably has both, possibly confirming twin-Emilie knows at least a little more than 'she disappeared'. Gabriel said they were very dear to him, twin-Emilie wants them as they are part of her family, not his. They had already discussed this, Gabriel hadn't liked that, and he doesn't seem happy when he says that they'd discuss it later. He obviously doesn't want to give them away.
When FΓ©lix makes his deal with Hawk Moth, he is told to get the Miraculous first before they can arrange the plans of getting another piece of jewelry Felix wants himself, later revealed to be the wedding ring. Gabriel would probably know what jewelry Felix is referring to, hence his 'hesitation' (he could've just said "everything is okay as long as I get my Miraculous" which is his normal scheme when akumatizing people).
Skip to the part after Gabriel discovered that Felix stole his ring and we find out that the <insert family name here> twin sister rings have a "special" backstory, one FΓ©lix had always been fascinated by. Since this is Miraculous we're talking about, special backstories seldom belong to normal objects.
Here's where the theory comes in.
Gabriel found out about the special rings and safeguarded them, as they were of high value. When Emilie fell asleep he couldn't tell the world that she got into an enchanted sleep thanks to some magical jewelry, no one would believe him. Instead, he hid Emilie away and claimed she were dead, making another excuse for Adrien as that's what some parents do(as far as I know, he thinks his mom sim
... keep reading on reddit β‘A few months ago I found a 1962 twopence florin in a coin jar of my parent's. None of us have ever been to Ireland so its ownership is a bit bizarre. I put it down somewhere, and haven't seen it since. But, having a want to have the coin I found another one online. The new coin arrived today and it seems legit, yet it has one difference. The edges of this one are ridged, like an a quarter. I distinctly remember the old twopence having flat edges. Is there any explanation for this, or am I just remembering the old twopence wrong?
A 1733 Rosa Americana Twopence made in lead. No idea. Showed it to Syd Martin (who wrote the book on Rosa Americana) pieces and others and nobody is sure. Nobody sure who or why it was made.
At some point the obverse had damage and it exposed lead. Over the many years the "fresh" lead underneath has not toned like rest of coin.
A true conversation piece.
Best offer gets it! Edit: I have to put a price so I will say $150 or OBO. Payment: Pick up, Zelle/Quickpay, GW.
I've inherited an old cartwheel twopence, but I've not been able to find much information as to its potential value. Does anybody have any clue as to how much I should be able to sell this coin for?
Did he just nail the perfect description of Reddit's biggest problem, the strive for originality? Amazing quote.
The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.
Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.
--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)
--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."
I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"
He responds, "it's dead grass."
I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"
.
.
.
He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.
You officially hit rock bottom
And then you will all be sorry.
No it doesn't.
Now itβs syncing.
He replied, "Well, stop going to those places then!"
She said how do you know he was headed to work?
I will find you. You have my Word.
