I remember two words that were sci fi coined, possibly by Robert Heinlein, but I can't remember the words. One of them meant a group of people bonded together by a common destiny, and possibly telepathically connected, and the other one was the same concept only just between two people.

I feel like the first word started with a K and the second one with a D.

I recently purchased a lot of unattributed Byzantine coins, and have so far been unable to find resources on attributing them. By my best guess, they are probably from the 9-11 centuries, but beyond that I know little about them.

It seems surprising that something so fundamental as currency and coinage should emerge so late in history. Are we perhaps biased by the lack of evidence in terms of coins discovered in claiming that the Lydians invented metal coinage? What did the Egyptians or the Assyrians use for trade before this period?

What do you think the US Mint will do for the sestercentennial (250th anniversary) in five years?

A number of years ago I decided to put all my five pence pieces in a vase . I just counted them and it amounts to £73.00 . Jeez the pile of coins was massive . Now I intend to bank it and put the whole thing in the past and move on . Those coins are going back in circulation .

It seems to me with such low mintages , the proof Liberty nickels should be worth way more (I realize there are some higher graded cameos that are expensive ,but most are pretty affordable MS-64 and below ) . Are liberty nickels an unpopular series in general ? I’m just wondering if it’s worth investing in some of these ...
