A list of puns related to "Treadmill Test"
Hey yall, so my doctor is sending me to have a stress test on a treadmill and I was wondering if any of you have done that? I just wanted to know what kind of results you guys have had with it. I was confused at first since the paperwork said they use it to test for asthma which has already been ruled out for me, so I called em and they said theyβre going to monitor my heart during it because of the symptoms π€
So if any of you have had that done lmk what happened with it and if it gave any conclusive results!
I read it sometime between 2004 and probably 2012 I think? Itβs not Maximum Ride, Unwind, or the Shadow Children series, (Iβm 99% sure) Iβve read those as well and I went back and looked at the synopses of those to make sure Iβm not just old and dumb. I really just wanted to read it again, but my googling has failed me and I canβt find it.
I have been running outside all lockdown preparing for my fitness test. Yesterday I ran on the treadmill however it was horrible, my knees ached and I would definitely have failed the test. Any advice on treadmill running?
When you have a 30% crash in your crypto :). Well I can cancel my doctors visit my heart is in great shape! Also so are my balls and diamond hands.
I have an upcoming echocardiogram and non nuclear treadmill stress test in 2 days.
I'm terrified of the stress test. I feel like I might have a panic attack or worst an actual heart attack when they push me to elevate my heart rate.
I'm 28 years old, but I weight 255 lbs and have high cholesterol due to family Hypercholesterolemia. I've been suffering from anxiety for the past 2 months, mainly cardiophobia.
My concerns started after a bad case of hangover in July that landed me im the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack. EKG and bloodwork came back fine. I followed up with a cardiologist and he suggested these two tests to rule out heart disease.
Before the pandemic I used to play tennis and go to the gym regularly. I never had any chest pains when pushing myself. Nowadays I still don't have any chest pain, but I'm terrified of jogging or elevating my HR too much. I've been going out for fast paced walks sometimes for even an hour and I feel fine. Sometimes anxiety gets the best from me and I end up cutting my walks short due to fears of heart attack. I realize shortly after that it's anxiety, but the damage has been done.
What can I expect from a stress test? Should I be worried?
When a motor or motor controller fails, it is usually due to a worn belt & deck. The wear is not always visible to the naked eye, so a visual check is not sufficient to determine belt/deck condition.
There is a quick and easy check you can perform (no tools needed)Β to determine belt/deck condition.
This test is useful also if you are shopping for a used treadmill, the treadmill may still work but fail this test...if a treadmill fails this test then the belt/deck are worn and should be replaced to avoid costly damage to the motor or controller. Replacing the belt/deck with labor can run anywhere from $250 to $1000 depending on the model.
(note: this test is for a typical treadmill with a DC motor. If you have some rather uncommon commercial treadmill with an AC motor &/or a CVT transmission, this test may not be appropriate - those kind of treadmills are rare though...)
Belt/deck "Push Test"
Start with a wide stance, so that your foot fall is near the outer edges of the belt - this is whereΒ the belt and deck surface are generally never used, and should have very low friction (should glide smoothly without much effort).
I saw this video of what fire-fighters in Germany have to go through for their testing, and can't figure out how it actually tests strength or endurance: https://youtu.be/YNgDrSbdzco?t=162
No insults intended toward firefighters, of course -- this is more of a physics question from someone clueless about this stuff and common sense doesn't seem to work.
i have been suffering these symptoms for a few years now- light headed, not being able to work out, fast heart beat, low blood pressure, fainting, being super cold, fatigue, etc. I went to a cardiologist after these symptoms progressed to happening while Iβd just be sitting down or doing very light activity.
I have not been diagnosed with POTS, but Iβm seeing a cardiologist and I think I have similar symptoms. Especially after seeing an orthopedic doctor and they suspect I have EDS.
So I went to do a treadmill test yesterday and my resting heart rate was 70 and it went all the way to 210 and they made me get off the treadmill. I didnβt even feel weird or off. Should I be worried? What are your experiences with a treadmill test?
I do have a follow up appointment tomorrow where they will talk to me about this test and my echo I have later today.
I have an annual fitness test that Iβm required to pass for my job. Itβs a treadmill test that estimates your V02 max based on how fast your heart rate reaches a certain rate based on your age and how long it stays in that range. My question is: Does wearing a simple surgical mask affect the oxygen exchange rate and ultimately affect your V02 max result?

... keep reading on reddit β‘Long story short - been having chest discomfort for some time now.
EKG was clean. So were chest X-Rays. So was echo.
However, been having sore/burning left chest discomfort going into the armpits.
Took the treadmill test, but it was done by an assistant rather than a doc.
During the test I was nervous but felt no pain. I completed it.
Then I asked if it was okay and the assistant refused to answer. While she typed stuff into the machine, she kept saying the doc will tell me during the follow-up appt.
I was a bit insecure, but then after I walked out, someone (I think a random staff person) said "if they just let you walk outta there, then you're fine." But I don't know how much weight to put into that comment.
Did the assistant refuse to answer simply because it wasn't her job? If there was an issue, she'd let the doc know right away, right?
Good Morning Travelers,
After watching Nick from Trainer Tips and his review of the Apple Watch I wanted to further test the theory of using the Apple Watch to track your distance while on a piece of cardio equipment. In this test we will be documenting the progress of jogging on a treadmill.
Treadmill Speed:5.5 Time: 10 minutes
While running this test the app was closed on My iPhone and I was only tracking a session on my Apple Watch.
The link below corresponds with the results as the top picture after the test was run.
Tallied Results:
Treadmill Distance tracked: .90 miles=1.45km
Steps Counted: 1368 steps=.52km
Apple Watch Session Totals: 1.70km
So from what we see within the results is that the distance that was tracked on the "session totals" page on the Apple Watch of 1.70km did not directly result of the same increase in the distance on my eggs. The amount we ended up receiving was between .6km and .7km which was almost in line to the amount of steps that we actually jogged on the treadmill.
Overall the distance that translates to buddy candy and egg distance seems almost directly in line with the amount of steps that Apple Watch records you having stepped. Also this test further proves the Apple Watch can be purely used without the Apple IPhone application open to track your distance while moving on a piece of cardio equipment.
Thanks for reading through! If anyone has questions let me know, I'll be running a similar test on the elliptical at a later date to test the wrist motion and how it correlates to distance.
Hey fellow athletes, I have a question concerning my upcoming monthly performance test. Do you think that the values are comparable if I run the test(s) on the treadmill instead of the 400m track (due to heavy rainfall)? The distances are 1k and 5k.
Thanks in advance!
Whenever I use a treadmill, I like to do the βArmy Cardio Fitness Testβ.
Iβm wondering if there is any accuracy in the scores.
Whatβs considered poor, good, great, Olympic goddess?
Also, thanks everyone, for the incredible things you do!
Edit: I should have mentioned what the fitness test actually entails. It just makes you run 2 miles and calculates a score when youβre done.
I work for a large hospital system. They only allow 60 minutes for a complete echo with a combined stress echo on a treadmill. When everything is smooth this can work, but if you have any challenges you can easily get behind and i start bitching about safety and quality being sacrificed. Am i being unreasonable to think this test should be 75+ minutes? How long do you get?
Hey everyone! :) I had my first cardio appt. today, and although I repeatedly mentioned my HR and neuro changes on standing, they suggested a treadmill test and a monitor. I didnβt want to press the issue and self-diagnose on the first appointment, but Iβm curious if this would be enough.
Iβm on a 48h monitor right now, and while it has no visible reading, my HR has already gone from 65 at rest to 115-130+ while using the bathroom twice now (the day is still young). Iβm nervous, do you guys think this exercise stress test might produce the results Iβd need to get answers? Or should I actively be requesting a tilt test (which I assumed would be done) and push for this? What about seeing a second opinion with another cardio using these results, if this first one doesnβt consider pots?
Hi Ketonians, tomorrow I have a cardiac stress test.
I have never done one and wanted some advice. They say I must fast for 12+ hours and no coffee or anything else - just water.
I usually have coffee every morning. If I don't, I get headaches. The test is 1:45PM so I will have gone a long time without caffeine.
I was thinking of just taking one caffeine pill at 7:45AM, which is six hours before the test. Would that be okay? I also wanted to take some of my liquid electrolytes, just so my heart is well nourished before the stress test. I was even thinking of taking exogenous ketones that morning, just so my heart is well-fueled as well. But I don't want to get in trouble for not "perfectly" fasting. What do you say?
..and just felt I wasn't going anywhere.
