A list of puns related to "Track Bicycle"
I know Fernleigh track is beautiful, but just seeing if there are any other paved bicycle tracks (would prefer not on the road, not keen to be sharing any paths with cars)
A large part of the city is covered with four-lane roads, with the speed people are buying cars here, it won't take long for Nagpur to become yet another 'metro' city where grid-locked traffic jam becomes the norm. Instead of spending such a huge amount on dangerous high-speed roads why can't we have bicycle lanes? Why are we emulating the disastrous old American model of town planning when American cities themselves are now moving towards walkability.
Is there a way to contact NMC and lobby for better cycle infrastructure?
My momβs partner was killed in a bicycle accident over the weekend and we think his ring fell off during impact since it was new and loose on his hand. Itβs not in their house and wasnβt recovered at the scene. Sheβs desperate to find it and we think it may be somewhere along the side of the road - but I have no idea how to go about looking for it. Weβre looking for somebody in the area who can help us find it.
What are you guys using? I'll write it either in Julia or Python and I'll send a daily and weekly report to my phone via matrix. I currently track my position with gpslogger if that's of any interest.
I want to put a AirTag on my bike in a hidden place. But I am puzzled how it is going to work after reading this info on Appleβs website:
βAirTag is designed to discourage unwanted tracking. If someone elseβs AirTag finds its way into your stuff, your iPhone will notice itβs traveling with you and send you an alert. After a while, if you still havenβt found it, the AirTag will start playing a sound to let you know itβs there.β
If the bike is getting stolen and AirTag alerts the thief that there is a AirTag nearby/on bike then itβs almost useless for that purpose. Anyone tested this?
She continued "But Dad, why is that speeding truck behind us crossing over to sidewalk?"
Normally I'd just go on trails with my mountain bike and I do, on the weekends. But becuase I work now and finish at 8pm it's dark and late for a trail. I know there's a velodrome in Milton but is there anything like that in Mississauga or close by? Even if it's an outdoor track that I can do laps around? I was thinking of using the track at Loyala high school after work but it seems there's always a game there. I need help! Thanks!
Can anyone recommend me some music that has similar sounds/structure? I particularly really liked the hypnotic, psychedelic-ish sound of Bicycle. Im longing for more music like this!
Actor is my favorite album of Annieβs, and actually just one of my favorite albums in general. Iβm a big fan of unique color palettes and orchestral instruments.
Iβd love to hear your suggestions βΊοΈ
First I must admit that I am not an expert on this subject. I will just share my knowledge and thoughts on it. Chittagong Hill Tracks was a separate area. Under a 1900 act, the British gave them certain exemption from the laws of the Country i.e. British India. Basically it meant that they can live their life and preserve their way of life without the intervention of the βmodernβ and βculturalβ world. And upto a certain point, they were allowed to have that.
After 1947, things started to change. Kaptai dam was built and it causes lots of damages to the indigenous people. Because of the dam, the water level raised and lots of the houses of the indigenous people went under water. To the best of my knowledge, they were never offered any compensation. Not even a sorry.
After 1971, things got worse. Bangladesh Government started dumping Bengali in thousands and lacs in those areas. The idea was to make them minority in their own area and it was successful. It was a disaster for them.
The whole situation was an irony. Bengalies fought for independence because their freedom was violated by another group. Then they took away the freedom and rights of the indigenous people of the new country.
Since 1971, the indigenous people of Bangladesh were treated as a third class citizen. From certain perspectives, there are hierarchy - first is the Bengali Muslim, then Bengali Hindu and other religious minority. Then the indigenous people. Even βeducatedβ Bengali mocked them for not being able to speak Bangla in proper pronunciation (really?). For some βupojatiβ or βchakmaβ is a slang (go fuck yourself).
Indigenous men can be killed and indigenous girls can be raped without any percussion. Army in the hill tracks has the last words and in some (read most) cases they commit the crimes.
Remember that we want Pakistan to say sorry for their atrocities. But we do the same thing with our indigenous people. We raise our voice for Palestine. But what is the difference between Israeli settlement and our dumping Bengalies in their own land? You are basically taking the land from the people. (Sorry about the whataboutism).
Sometimes, I feel ashamed to be a part of this world.

Honestly im not one to complain about stuff But what pisses me off is that i get stopped while riding my bike on the regular sidewalk on corniche by "Tourism Police" or whatever they're called
They yell at me saying " why are you riding here when theres a track for this"
i straight up had to yell back at them to get walkers off the damn track
For fuck sake stop walking on the damn track it messes up literally everyones momentum you have 3 times the space to walk and you choose the narrowest path with the fastest moving traffic cuz fuck logic right?
I understand what the cops told me but if theyre gonna stop me they should stop the fools who block up the cycle track too
