A list of puns related to "Thermonuclear"
My understanding is, the US first developed this design. The Brits then basically got the design details from the US. But the French, Russians, and Chinese...did they independently arrive at the 2 stage radiation implosion idea? Do they all use similar techniques for the interstage, spark plug, boosting, etc? Sorry if this is too much to ask. I was trying to find a very interesting post I read here over the past year, how the Soviet idea was original in a complementary way to the Ulam Teller idea...I can't find the thread...something about they came up with the box first....There are some great posts here, but I have trouble finding them. Sorry if this is repetitive!
I mean, it probably wouldn't be as good as regular thermonuclear weapons, since it has to be deployed from orbit. But say we lived in a world where all fissionable and fertile substances are gone. Say, for example, on a planet in a star system with low metallicity. Wouldn't this design allow us to still find a way to threaten ourselves with mass extinction?
what is the fastest way (without cheats) to cause thermonuclear war?
If I take a shower at Chernobyl, how many plutonium atoms do you guys think will be coming through the water? Also what is the expected drop rate? Need to know if itβs worth the farming.
Been half a century since one was done. Imagine the hype if they decided to do another hydrogen bomb test with state of the art modern cameras recording it from various angles (slow motion etc). They could even live stream it.
I legitimately would love to see this.
Anyone else?
This post is being written on 9-22-11, so we have not yet seen Lolong, Tiger Niko, Edward Wu, Omega Ohma and the full extent of a few other characters power so far.
The only characters who I believe have a chance at not being defeated by a 100% serious bloodlusted Divine Demon Fei under Kengan rules(who we have seen so far) are Kuroki, Kanoh and Raian. These three are all too close to confidently say with 100% that Fei is stronger but I think he is legitimate contender. Fei has ridiculous stats that rival the very top of the series in pretty much every way:
I think it is undoubtedly clear his Niko Style surpasses Ohma(as of the KAT) due to his much better performance using it against Wakatsuki, along with knowing techniques that Ohma doesnβt know
Another example of having more knowledge of the Niko Style than Ohma
Feiβs raw power is ridiculous, comparable to the highest of the top tier in the series
Capable of pushing Wakatsuki back, again, without even using Divine Demon
Another powerul punch nearly sent Wakatsuki out of the ring
Was powerful enough to get out of Wakatsukiβs bear hug
TLDR; Fei is one of the most skilled martial artists in the entire series(behind only a handful, if any we have seen so far) has mastered Niko Style(one of the most broken styles in the series) insane speed, and raw power comparable to the strongest characters in the series.
My case has been made.
I'm playing as Himmler. German civil war ended, with Heydrich and the SS in charge, Russia is still not a country, there's no war in south Africa and somehow I get the "Incoming Response" event all the time in September 1965. Am I stupid? Do I have to let the other german factions win the war? That's when the game is supposed to end and I can't do anything else?
I want the most painlessly and instant death as possible and I can think of nothing more painless and instant as going from perfectly fine to literal atoms or molecules in a billionth of a second. No pain, no realization of impending danger or death. Just instantly gone. To me going from no pain normal existence to nothing in an almost instantaneous amount of time to me is the perfect death.
So i recently read about the H-Bomb out of curiosity, and from what i understand the way it works is by fusing the hydrogen nucleus, having a small percentage of its mass turn into a ridiculous amount of energy which becomes the explosion. Supposedly the reason why hydrogen is used is due to it being easier to fuse, but hypothetically, if we were able to easily fuse heavier elements, would the resulting explosion be more powerful?
