Hi all!
My name is Caleb. I am the conductor and one of the leaders of a 19-piece big band called Big Beat. We've been working hard in the New Jersey/NYC area for about five years performing and perfecting our songs. This year we're releasing our first full length album. The album features my wife Allison on vocals who has a kind of Lalah Hathaway vibe. We spent two years finishing the mixing and mastering of this album and we're proud to finally self release it.
Big band music covers a wide perspective of artists these days. I hope this album can help invite you to the Big Band genre!! We are influenced by Thad Jones/Mel Lewis, Snarky Puppy, Maria Schneider, and the Pete McGuinness Jazz Orchestra.
This album is a feel-good jam with a lot of vocals, firey horn solos, several originals, and covers by Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, and Jill Scott. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. It's called "Sounds Good, Feels Good".
Non-vocal, kinda cheesy jazz with reeds/brass not just piano. Mo’ Better Blues in particular is fantastic but I haven’t been able to find anything similar to it.
