So a couple of months ago I was starting to get into a sub-genre called Math Rock, for those who don't know what Math Rock is it's basically Post-rock but with tapping. though there is more information about what mathrock is Here in this page. While I was listening to a couple of mixtapes one mix had sparked interest in me.
The video was titled International Math Rock Compilation and while listening to it I fell in love with the first song. The song was titled Helka by Gaston and after listening to the majority of the mixtape I was too interested in that song and wanted to know more about where it came from and who were the people behind it. While searching I found an LP from gaston on Youtube video which was titled Gaston - What Time Does Your Train Leave Today? [Full LP] which was uploaded to the youtube channel The Math Rock Collection.
I decided to search the band up to see if they had a Wikipedia page or something but all I could find was their Discogs, Which shows that they were from Berlin, Germany and that the band members were Jan Ferdinand, Jan Thoben, Jochen Briesen, Sören Schrader, and Wilm Thoben. The Discogs says that they have one LP and a single titled #1 but there appears to be no digital release and that it can only be on Vinyl. I'm guessing it's only available in Germany.
update while writing this: I have found a topic channel that has other videos similar to artists named Gaston and the one I'm searching for has a playlist of all the songs in #1, right here
Looking through their profiles, I found out that most of them had consisted of 2 other bands, Kinn and Taunus. All 3 of which have been showing throughout the same time frame.
Looking through the Taunus Discogs, I have found out that they were an Indie Folk duo consisting of [Jochen Briesen](https://www.discogs.com/artist/176064
