For those of you who don't know: SWIM stands for, "Someone Who Isn't Me," and is frequently used by recreational drug users on online forums in the belief that it would give them plausible deniability, if their post history was ever used as evidence against them. Instead of asking questions in the first person:

Outside of major crime-ring busts, I know it's unlikely someone's reddit comments would even come up in court for possession charges. But if they did, am I right in guessing that calling yourself "SWIM" wouldn't magically invalidate the validity of those comments as evidence?
If I'm right, I'm looking for a brief explanation as to why that I can put in subreddit's rules, that uses more technically precise language than, "legally pointless," but is still something the average recreational ketamine user on reddit (most of whom are between the ages of 18 and 24) would be able to understand.
I understand that they can be a bit awkward with the amount of skin showing but boy is it pretty snug.
Not asking to judge or shame. Anyone should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortable in, but out of curiosity, why a speedo or swim brief? Also, how do you feel confident wearing them in public?

I am from Bangladesh. Its a highly conservative Islamic culture and wearing swim briefs for men is an absolute no no. It would cause complaints from woman that it makes them uncomfortable and is disrespectful and would bring mockery from men. Mild tight fitting shorts are acceptable.
For women, a full body suit like a wet suit is acceptable while a burkini is okay.
My question is: Are you allowed to wear swim shorts/trunks as a man and a burkini as a woman in international level competitions hosted by FINA, Olympics or similar big international bodies?
I want to treat myself to a good pair of swim briefs with some stretch to them, and I found this brand. But I’m not entirely sure the difference between the two pouch types and how they feel / look
I took my watch to the pool and was doing some exercises with swimming mode when the screen went black. My phone is still connected to it but the screen won't turn on. I was under the impression it was waterproof. Any fixes or am I screwed??
So I am a male living in Vietnam and I go swimming every day at the pool of the apartment complex where I live in. This morning the lifeguard told me that some of the elderly people (whom I even chatted to very nicely a few days ago) complained that my wearing swim briefs (of various colors, including white) seems to be inappropriate and asked the lifeguard to tell me to wear something else.
I've seen a lot of people wear swim briefs at the pool in Vietnam so I think it might have something to do with old people's perceptions here (clothes that are revealing are frowned upon by them). The swim briefs I bought are from a well-known sportswear brand whose the band around the waist is kind of shorter than that of other brands (but the sporty look still remains). The elderly people said that the white swim brief I wear looks like an underwear despite the lifeguard's explanations to them.
Have you been in the same situation? Is there any research paper that states swim briefs are advantageous for swimming so that I can shove it up their face?
I think I'm gonna keep wearing the swim briefs just to piss them off. :)

Only option I've found is doing something custom from a company like splish. Though have held off since not really a fan of their thicker material.
Hey folks- I'm a triathlete whose pool remains open for 45 min swims. I'm finding more and more my suits seem to be going slack faster and faster. Previously I'd been wearing TYRs, but is there something better that will last a bit longer than a couple of months? Or is this just how it is?
